Why would you even say such a thing. They are not going bk. The management made some mistakes but it is not a disaster. You must be short.
This is panic city and it is being fueled by reports such as in todays W S J. about a supposed glut of office buildings around the country. I think we will see something by the time they report their earnings on the 24th. Looks too cheap to ignore in here.
I agree. I don't think she has a clue as to how to manage a company. Whether a new ceo would want to come in just to liquidate the company is another matter. If they do fire her a lot depends on her replacement but just about anyone with management experience could be better. I know one person who would be perfect for the job.
If they buyback shares they reduce the total book value because cash which is an asset leaves the company. It will however increase the book value per share because there will be fewer shares outstanding. Shares that are repurchased are usually retired so no dividend would be paid on them. They would only be paying it back to the company otherwise.
The stock repurchase is good in another way because it may reduce the management fee we pay. Frankly I am surprised it is being done because it takes money out of managements' pockets. They must really be frustrated by the stock action.
don't believe everything you hear about moody's. they also said all of the #$%$ mortgages were aaa.
Now that the 1 for 5 reverse split is effective the stock is doing what all reverse splits do which is revert to the price that the pre split stock was selling at.While it may not get back to $5 it will probably go down from here. What a dumb thing they did.
I just reread the summary of the third quarter earnings call and I think the big problem with this stock is that no one seems to be able to figure out all of the moving parts. What makes it even harder is all of the initials they use for all of the things and organizations they are involved with. Even the analysts who ask questions after the management discussion don't seem to have a good handle on the thing. I own the stock because of the yield but I am fully prepared to wake up one day and find out the stock has blown up and nobody knew what or why it happened.
I was only saying if they cut the dividend. I don't see why they would but of course other mlp's have cut their dividends when least expected. For example memp which has a great hedge book going into next year but they still cut it. They are using the money to make acquisitions instead of paying divs. We will see.
