1. Butamx and DuPont drop frivolous law suits and have criminal action against them
2. Federal mandate to start adding isobutanol to gasoline at higher percentage than ethanol
3 buyout at $28.00/share
Let's hope gevo can fly supersonic soon. There are so many applications of isobutanol - this news shows a tested and successful one in the navy. Wouldn't airlines love to have a renewable alternative fuel to stabilize
I agree, this isn't going to move the price, the significant news is yet to come. I did like this paragraph and the last sentence in particular. This is real and it's happening and this is the beginning. What an opportunity to get in at these prices.
"We look forward to partnering with Gevo because their renewable isobutanol enables multiple end-market opportunities for us, both as a 'drop-in' molecule for the specialty fuels and chemicals markets, and as hydrocarbon products utilizing Gevo's downstream alcohols-to-hydrocarbons technologies," said Bradley Krohn, President of Highlands. "In particular, isobutanol has a significant market opportunity in Florida with the boating industry given isobutanol's favorable properties as compared to ethanol. We are eager to finalize the details of a binding agreement so that we can start constructing the facility."
Thanks for this info. This goes to show you the interest and potential in what Gevo is doing. If Gevo
announces a partnership with Shell or another big player then we are going to move and in a big way.
The short covering will create wild spikes as the shorts will be bidding against many new and deep pocketed
investors and institutions. This is a stock to hold onto right now.
This could be a big positive for Gevo. Many existing ethanol plants may want to diversify
with a higher margin product and something that has demand across many applications.
There is some resistance around .45 or so and if it breaks that level it's on to .80
Technically it's a simple set up.
Soon the expense of the litigation will not be an issue as the end game is near for gevo. If Butamax wins some patent issues it will have no affect on gevo's ability to lincense, manufacture and sell isobutanol. Gevo's customers, partners and licensees are aware of this. It's going to be sooo good to see David beat Goliath.
Ever heard this saying on Wall Street? Bears make money, Bulls makes money but pigs get slaughtered.
Meaning don't get greedy because it clouds your judgement and you could get slaughtered. Sounds to me, my friend. That you fall in the third category.
I understand the frustration and I really feel our time is near. Everything seems to be in place and behind the scenes they are confidant.
Part of the price action is gevo's track record of not hitting milestones and I think you're correct that a big part is also manipulation. The first part is looking much better and to people who know the potential of isobutanol and where Gevo is at now it's downright exciting. Things have changed and hopefully soon there will be
massive short covering.
My guess there is heaving shorting (manipulation) by Butamax - DuPont & BP. Their activity should be illegal and investigated. At some point they won't be able to hold it down and she will explode. We should be at a buck right now.
Anything is possible and this is an easy stock to manipulate and there should be complete disclosure about who is shorting and if there is manipulation going on. There should be significant buying coming in over the next months and part of why we're here is due to gevo, but things are turning around for real. I thInk we're headed north in spite of the manipulation. One of the problems with our
government is it does not represent the people or fairness or even common sense. When people wake up and stop voting morons in then things will change.
