No split because there are an insufficient number of shares in the treasury to support a 2x1.
If/when GILD's shareholders approve an increase in the number of treasury shares there might be a split -- but not until then.
looks like stupid stan just shot another air ball. Not surmising given that 80% of his shots never even hit the rim.
"Selling every time the RSI goes above 70, and buying back when the stock hits the 50 day moving average doesn't always work. If you had done that in September 2012"
ROTFLMBFAO! You had to do back to 2012 to find one time that "sell overbought, buy around the 50" did not work. Wile I gave you 11 times during that period where it did work.
So my methodiology works 90% of the time. Please provide a system that works better than 90% of the time. I'll be waiting...
""overbought august, 2014 -low below 200 day avg"
You're including a low that came 6 months after the RSI exceeded 70 "
OK how about 110 to 92 in about 40 days -- you happy now?
The point is that the stock is pretty predictable. Sell when it becomes overbought, and buy back somewhere around the 50 day.
It fell from 90 to 85 after becoming overbought in July, 2014. The 50 day at the time was about 83.
overbought august, 2014 -low below 200 day avg
overbought march, 2014-low below 200 day avg
overbought november, 2013- low 50 day avg
overbought october 2013- low 50 day avg
overbought september 2013-low 50 day avg
overbought august, 2013-low 50 day avg
overbought march 2013- low below 100 day avg
overbought september, 2012-low 50 day avg
and in looking at the chart, I missed two
november 2012-low 50 day avg
July, 2014 - low just above 50 day avg
Acually it fell from 110 to below 90 when it was overbought last August.
overbought august, 2014 - then what happened?
overbought march, 2014 then what happened?
overbought november, 2013 - then what happened?
overbought october 2013, then what happened?
overbought september 2013, then what happened?
overbought august, 2013, then what happened?
overbought march 2013, then what happened?
overbought september, 2012, then what happened?
do you see a pattern developing?
It was overbought. Look at the cart, it falls a bunch EVERY TIME it gets overbought as measured by RSI. Every time -- for the last 3+ years.
Market rends probably helped the fall, but a fall was going to happen.
says the guy who on June 29 also said: "From a chart perspective, this is just a retest of the breakout point when the stock initially broke to 52 week highs. We found support at 117, and it's heading back up. I'd expect a short term trading range from 117 to 123 until earnings."
Look in the mirror and say "oooooops!"
I expected it to start to rise starting at about $10US.
stan's just a dope. He loves bashing stocks and when he loses he ALWAYS says he got out and diodn't lose much.
That IS the way it goes, doesn't it stan?
