If in fact what you say is true, can you please explain to the rest of us why you spend your time on this Message Board.
I will say this my father-in-law was a stock broker in the era you are speaking of and he always held IBM and it made him a multimillionaire. And then he passed in '87 and the Executrix didn't know what they were doing and sold IBM. He did not accumulate what you have but he certainly did alright for himself. And I'll add the smartest man I have ever known, a retired Colonel, an engineer employed by Boeing and General Electric, at Nasa, and then retired and became a stock broker.

Not this time. You may see it back at $210 after it pushes 215. My gut feeling on the US economy. Tried to buy some investment property last week and every house I looked at had a sale pending. Unbelievable.

$700 eventually, probably in my Grandson's lifetime.
I do think I'll see $400-500 in the next 20 years. One thing is certain, IBM will be thriving long after you and I have met our Maker.

Detected same pattern about the time Yahoo changed its format. The majority of the Members that once added substance and made it informative seem to vanish or become scarce at that same point, giving way to your so called "trolls or poor losers." But there remain a half dozen or so that continue to enlighten me with their knowledge of IBM and the market.

Clarence197, I've been buying and adding IBM to my SEP for 15 years and couldn't be happier.. Yeah this past week hurt but I assure you I did not sell a share and I'm still way ahead. These guys like arbourplace come and go so take what they say with a grain of salt. And yeah, this is a great time to add to your position.
