I like it because if someone makes a crazy irrational statement about PVCT or insults another poster for no reason out of the blue, they are called to account. Goofiness is not tolerated. Diodia

    Lock out period?

    by vorlon1966 May 13, 2014 8:32 PM

Lock out period is when you cannot trade the shares because the old ones are no longer valid but the new ones have not been issued to your broker yet. On January 24th or whichever day it was that PVCT's name change became efffective, TD Ameritrade customers could not trade their shares and watched PVCT go from $6 to less than half that without being able to sell. I trade with Fidelity and was only locked out for about an hour and a half, which was after I had sold--which was just lucky for me. I do not know if this applies when the old OTC shares are retired and the new NYSE ones are issued, but I suspect it does. Does anyone know? Diodia

bbinzel, I agree, and I am very impressed with how management is executing their plan. I look forward to seeing them, guided and aided by Roberti + White, orchestrate more publicity around and after ASCO. I am bullish and very long. Of course I do not really know what PVCT's share price will do tomorrow, but no one else was hazarding a guess, so I thought I would throw my best guess out there. Congratulations to PVCT management on the listing, whatever happens tomorrow! Diodia

I do not know, but my theory is that we will see a nice spike upwards on the open tomorrow, and then the share price will drop back to a $2.15 to 2.50 trading range until BTD is announced. I am guessing that ASCO posters will have little effect, as most of the clinical data is already out there. I believe that everyone, longs and shorts alike, are focused on BTD.

It may be that PVCT already knows whether BTD will be/has been granted or refused.

One thing I am convinced of is that if there is a surge in the price, a secondary will not be far behind. I believe that PVCT needs money to move forward with liver and breast cancer. Diodia

Maintaining our range, possible short squeeze

Thanks boxta. I try to offer price predictions with a specified time frame, which can be verified or proven false, and which are actionable with the goal of making money. I just wish I could predict yea or nay on BTD. How much money we could make if we just knew for sure! Diodia

As I predicted Friday, we had a very mild little short squeeze yesterday at the close to $2.35 as the shorts who piled on because they misunderstood the May 8 Prospectus panicked and got out. We are still drifting within our range of $2.10 to 2.70, and will probably continue to do so until the announcement of the BTD decision. Diodia

    An Uplisting Theory

    by randolphdukeiii May 12, 2014 7:58 PM

NASDAQ and NYSE are fiercely competitive about new listings, and boast loudly whenever one wrests a listing away from the other exchange, or at least they do with the larger companies. I had figured that PVCT was trying to play one exchange off against the other, nudging "act now, or you will lose us to the other exchange." Diodia

I still think the action is positive, but I do not expect much to happen until BTD is announced. But it was nice to see PVCT recover so nicely. DIodia

  • as I thought might happen as the shorts who realize they were wrong about the Prospectus got out. As far as I can tell, the short interest has DROPPED drastically since the frantic surge in shorting on May 8. I think it is all meaningless; every one is waiting for the FDA. Diodia

Just when I think this board cannot go any lower, heelflip takes us to new levels of craziness and irrelevance. He has been teetering on the verge of wacko for a while, but he did not actually go over the edge until this. Depressing. Diodia

  • PVCT is still range bound as it has been since mid-March, and as I expect it to continue to be until BTD is announced for good or ill.

A lot of shorts hopped on yesterday, probably because of the filing of the Prospectus which is backward looking and irrelevant, and I think they will figure out that they were mistaken, so we have the potential for a short squeeze at the close. It may be quite mild, just up to $2.35, or maybe they decide to stick it out. I feel good about the way PVCT came out of yesterday's high volume day, and the way it sticks to the almost 2 month range.

Of course the BTD announcment will move us to a different range, in whatever direction. Diodia

rainman, you are mistaken. If you will look at this thread and the next one, you will notice that he does not post after I do. This was also true the last time you made the same mistaken assertion. Go back and look and you will find that you are in error here. It is better to be an empiricist and stick with reality, as opposed to clinging tooth and nail to a dogmatic belief in defiance of the facts. You will also make more money in the stock market as an empiricist. Diodia

You call other people ignorant when you cannot figure out what the daily volume for PVCT is and you cannot manage to follow simple instructions on Yahoo--you who cannot manage the 3 Rs at elementary school level? Truly delusional. Diodia

  • diodia2000 by diodia2000 May 8, 2014 8:40 PM Flag

His reading skills have deteriorated even further, to the point where he can no longer decipher numerals. When I posted that the PVCT volume was over 1 million shares, he responded,

"I see 700,000. Can you not read or are you rounding a half million up"

It is truly astounding to see someone who could not find Vorlon's older posts on Yahoo because he could not figure out how to click on "All Posts" rather than "3 months" and who cannot find articles on the internet through a basic search, now unable to figure out that 1,072,041 is bigger than a million and is not 700,000.

Good point about the timing. That would fit in with Dendreon freakout. It was trying to recover after the first hit, then it got socked hard. Diodia

I don't see it. It seems as if people always know when an uplisting is imminent; the news leaks out. I do not know what is going on. The Russell small cap index is down 1% and the IBB biotech index is down more than 1.7%. We shall see. Diodia

  • This does not look like warrant selling. It may be Dendreon freaking everyone out. The IBB biotech index is down 1.7% today alone. But it could be anticipating bad news on BTD. I bought some this morning, but now I am waiting to see what gives. Diodia

    New risk factor in Q

Thanks for pointing out that this is standard language and that most people have a basic understanding of how the FDA operates. Not to mention that whether or not PVCT will get BTD has been endlessly debated on this board, with the possibility of refusal fully discussed, especially with regard to the small number of subjects in the high dosage treatment condition. I think RE needs to consider taking a community college course on remedial reading. He refuses to read the company's filings and press releases, but he could at least understand the board discussions if he had some help in this area. Diodia

My theory is that it is warrant holders who see the market near the all time high and who do not want to hold through the risk of the BTD decision over the next two weeks. But I have no way of knowing. So I bought another 5,000 shares under $2.20. Diodia
