I watched the ticker a few minutes. Why would anyone sell at 7.63 now when they could have gotten that price many times before? I looked at that Cicret bracelet thing. I'm much more accepting that many things are possible than most, but that thing seems awfully fanciful to me. Could something be projected onto ones forearm without disturbing distortion? I see it has bluetooth and wifi built in. I believe it must have another bulkier unit that they didn't show. AAPL is said to be upgrading their cameras on their iphones with whole new technology. I wonder if this might mean HIMX technology.

  • who sold last Friday if they sold because this 4th qtr earnings are likely less than last year's. Last year's 4th qtr's earning were some of the highest ever, were they not?......And, remember FSI sells their products Worldwide.

Himax and the price of oil

"Yet consumer spending is down and Industrial production (as of Nov 2015) is down, so people are sitting on their cash." U must be talking about investors sitting on their cash. With the erosion of the US industrial base for the last several decades and then the disappearance of many jobs in the last decade it should be becoming obvious the average public is Not sitting on their cash. They just don't have any cash to sit on and in fact are heavily in debt or are living off the gov't. China's economy has definitely grown at our expense though. We haven't progressed nearly as much in areas we should have. We reward people far too much for the wrong things. This is because too many have unconditional trust in the free-market theory which is blind and doesn't know the difference between worthwhile projects and worthless ones.

for quite a while. It gave a buy signal at the end of Dec., but its a pretty weak one. I thought I could buy a few shares, but its hit another new low so that's out for quite a while at least. ....Why the heck does HIMX keep tanking? There looks to be some pretty positive news on HIMX lately.

As Tim Cook indicated in his last presentation Apple has a practice and a history of cannibalizing their own products. They expect or hope the consumer will move on to their next wonderful product.

I don't believe they count on oil well products as being a big part of their business. Nevertheless, who knows if oil companies need this for new wells or to also maintain old wells. There are 10s of thousands of old wells all over the country. I see a much more interesting opportunity in their ag fertilizer enhancing product and their Watersavr and Heatsavr. It sounds like these last two sell well. For this time of year its looking like El nino is doing exactly like predicted. Its going to be sad to see a severe drought and heat wave in the Midwest and Southeast this Summer. The West coast seems to be getting a lot of rain now. I have a theory about rainfall: If some region of the planet gets too much there will be several others that get very little. And, FSI sells products all over thge world.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

I sorta hope the SEC was breathing down their neck a little too much. I hope the SEC is doing their job. U know gov't agencies take an awfully long time sometimes. I know I made more than one complaint to the SEC that something funny was going on. I believe some others did too. With this Martin Shlreli who bought out this Turing Pharma we can see what these people are capable of.

I thought this would be some more garbage I don't need. I wish they would get rid of these stupid little review windows that pop up from the bottom. What good are they? I accidentally hit one with my mouse while typing and it jumps up in my way. Very annoying and then there's those things that pop out from the side in your way if u happen to allow the mouse to drift over them.

I believe I see where I made my mistake when I bought FSI. I may not have mentioned this in my little book on my investing strategy, but my chart reading showed that to be cautious of stock exhibiting a long bar on a bar chart the month right after a historic low. At this time they were having a record drought in TX and speculation was FSI was going to get big orders. Two weeks after I bought FSI more than doubled. We all know what happened: In TX after that. The drought turned into an extreme flood. I don't have a large position in FSI and its now lower than where I bought, but I still like the co. very much. They continue to generate decent earnings-nothing great, just decent.

They say we're having the strongest El Nino in 18 years. I'd say this usually will mean a very hot Summer and extreme droughts in the Midwest and Southeast. There may be some good opportunities for FSI's Watersvr here. One distributor in Mich told me their Watersavr and Heatsavr sell very well.

The CEO, O'Brien, was touting their NPT(?) product that has been on the market for a while. This NPT is added to the soil and impedes the crystallization of nitrogen fertilizer which makes it much more available to plants; thus, lessening the amount of fertilizer needed. He said a $10. to $15. cost per acre could increase crop income a Minimum of $30./acre. It could increase income from $30/acre to $100/acre! It is biodegradable and all of their products are biodegradable and come from natural sources. I believe they have only scratched the surface on this. All of FSI's products are niche products. I like niche products. Are there any farmers out there who would like to see what this NPT does? Its sold as Sun27 and under another name.

See some other comments on the FSI board. Its still priced now as if it is going out of business.

  • after an El Nino are going to predict a severe drought and severe heatwave in Midwest this Summer! Yes, CA may be wetter, but they say this El Nino is the largest in 18 years and growing. I Hate to see this, but, oh well, this might be good for FSI. We'll have to see if this comes true. I wish there was some way we could be prepared.

Also, They have been discussing building more reservoirs in N Calif. for water storage at a huge cost. Critics are telling them even if they built as many as possible it would only add 1% more water. With watersvr they could increase their water supply by 30%!
