If there was an overriding factor that happen time and again just as it is happening with apple It was two simple things. The hardest part of becoming a gorilla is massing enough customers with barriers to entry in order to have the time to not worry about being first to market and once entering a space don't worry about being the best. An example is apple was pilloried about its inferior maps and more recently their inferior music. Look how apple refined and improved maps and soon you'll see the same with music. This is all setting up with their entry into the TV market. The idea that they are behind the curve completely misses apples competitive advantage. That affords them the luxury of letting others show their hands and then swooping in and using their ease of use platform to dominate the space. There is little anyone can do that apple can't do better.
After doing the dd I am sure apple is planning a companion healthcare device to the watch that will require FDA clearance. They have hired experts across the landscape and have a secret lab where something big is brewing. This is the kind of BIG that moves the needle and changes lives. Health and fitness with the ability to monitor the heart and blood is something we all need and want but just don't know it yet. Thousands of lives can be saved by just keeping track of some simple things that go on every day inside the body that can help and hurt us. It is within technology's ability to make a device that will solve this problem and apple is going to do it.
Apple is a tremendous long term hold.
They will be labeled a state of the art company thus not having to have 30% parts made in India. That is the real story and it will be out very soon.
That's not what happened. Apple s getting a waiver to sell new iPhones without 30% parts is the news you should be reporting. Used phone sales was always going to be a long shot
You live in a dream world. Donald Trump will be lucky to get 55% of his own party let alone beat Clinton. It's going to be a landslide for her.
Went straight to the new form factor 8 some time in December. Lots of irons in the fire for apple and any day they can be sprung.
What if apple suddenly goes after market share courting the 85% of android users. What if apple lowers the price of the 6's by $150 when they introduce the 7. How many millions of switchers and new subs would they get?
Market cap should go down around 10 to 15 billion more. Then buy them give Musk autonomy and back up the truck to help his vision become a reality.
Apple has a captured audience of 600 million loyal subs ready willing and able to buy the next apple big thing. The unveiling of it will send the stock to new highs. Don't fight the fed or Jony Ive.
Acts like its a big story. The big story is that they are adapting the rules to allow apple to build stores in India because their products are state o the art. That's the real story.
Just cause you don't hear about it don't mean it aint happening.
The local companies have made gains but not at the expense of Apple. Apple remains in the top 5 but Samsung and HTC dropped out. Instead of a negative that is a huge positive for apple.
Tim Cook said it on the call and reiterated it with Cramer. Apple expanded its subscriber base by 80% in the pst two years. The 6 iPhone series has made the apple sub base the most valuable eyeballs in history much more valuable then Facebook who has a fickle crowd with no loyalty or amazon who has a business model reliant on tracking and low profit margins, or google who is the real one trick search pony invading your every movement to monetize you in the most intrusive manner. The apple base is the most underrated asset I have ever witnessed. It will be the most lucrative group making apple a trillion dollar company.
That is the 64 billion dollar question and will be the single most determining factor for apple in the next 6 months. If the store is up and running in the coming weeks it will be a strong signal all is well. If not we begin to worry.
