I'm a little worried about China as the gov't calls for cutting subsidies and is hell bent on protectionism. We need a nice handoff to China once Americans get their full.
Apple is set up for another upgrade just as the mother of all upgrades subsides. The carriers are scrapping their delusion that subsidies are no good and see that only apple can deliver a buying frenzy and woe to the carrier that tries to cut subsidies. The other carriers will cut their throats.
well worth the time
They lined up all the major financial institutions as well as many key retailers. They did this with a leveraged deal getting a cut of each transaction and have the banks touting the service with the incentive to put a halt to the sieve of fraud with plastic transactions. Combine this with mandate to retailers that will force them to transition to a card less payment system within a year.
Once gain the pundits are polling people before the system is available and before the banks and apple have a chance to educate them on the benefits and security.
Apple once again has the first mover advantage over its only real competitor Samsung because Samsung is dependent on fragmented Android that is fraught with openings for gaming the system and a very poor working fingerprint sensor.
Imagine how many incentives apple can put in place to get these folks who spend thousands per year using credit cards to use a more secure apple pay. This is the goose that laid the golden egg. Do the math,it's huge.
Apple will easily have a billion iTunes accounts in 6 months. If they can get mass adoption of Apple Pay they will have solved the problem of recurring revenue and the next tens of billions in revenue.
Why no articles saying how wrong they were. In fact the carriers never offered such deals. Apple is the only company who can get the carriers cutting each other's throats.
The first qtr is going to be huge. Then the apps start rolling in for the watch and we go into new year in China and the watch. Is a new Apple TV far behind?
Apple is the only company with the sub base with the money, intelligence, and pre set up system via iTunes to hit the ground running. As the Whole Foods CEO just said on CNBC they are ready to roll as soon as the Phones hit the hands of consumers. You know these folks are dying to try out their new toy and once they see the ease of use, savings of time and security they will become an apple standard by the end of the year. Apple lined up all the ducks and they are walking in lockstep to the future.
How many billions did Samsung lose on 6 iterations. Apple will sell more watches in a day then Samsung sold with 6 models.
I doubt I ever read an article so misguided. It's embarrassing he said apple was far behind Android. What planet is he from? Android is a fragmented malware mess and those who have money know it.
It's a two way street on the power play and the gov't needs Apple and their protectionism allowing for Apple clones and their own phone makers needs to stop. Apple has leverage and needs to quietly let the heads of the communist state how imp't apple is to their economy.
Makes the most profit, services the cream of the consumer crop, and controls the experience from beginning to end. People get the latest IOS en masse and secure their device without a second thought.
How can retailers risk subjecting their customers to the Android fragmented malware mess. Seriously all the top companies apple has in line are all the cream of the crop looking to add sales from the most secure system and the most well healed consumers on the planet.
If you've ever been to Disney lately the bands are genius. The Iwatch is the perfect vehicle to do all kinds of things which include all manner of payments scanned from an apple terminal no bigger then an ITV. Fingerprint makes it secure and apple's power makes it a must have for retailers.
The defacto standard has just been created for mobile payments. That's what 800 million accounts will do for you. Tim Cook is a genius.
It's a who's who of retailers as apple looks to be the careless payment of choice.
The lines the log jams at the stores the partnerships the products OH MY Monday may be your last chance to get onboard.
