  • Below is a small quote. The news came from both Flinders and Tasman.

    Vancouver, Canada -- Tasman Metals Ltd. ("Tasman") (TSXV: TSM) (Frankfurt: T61) (NYSE-MKT: TAS) and Flinders Resources Limited (TSXV: FDR) ("Flinders") announce that negotiations with regard to the previously disclosed potential merger of the two companies (see joint press release dated 12 December 2013) has concluded, with a decision to not proceed. This decision not to proceed with the merger was taken mutually by the Boards of Directors of both companies, after discussion with various stakeholders including shareholders and customers.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Got to site there the article url is seekingalpha add the dot and the c-m and after 'm' add '/article/2085113'.
    This article covers geopolitical issues, provides chart and graph info, detailed info on the deposit and related data e.g. the merger. A thorough well written article.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • see post here below for the url . A pleasant message board with a considerable amount of info.

  • This article is found at seekingalpha add dot and the c-m part then /article/2089173. Sorry but yahoo is making it hard to just give the url address. The article is worth any minor inconveniences with the url.

    Mentions several good buying candidates including Flinders. Also, the writer knows enough to show a clear distinction between graphite mining deposits, AND THOSE (like Flinders) that have LARGE FLAKE graphite.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    Somebody Just Realized the Merger With TAS

    I strongly disagree regarding the merger. Look at the facts:
    Both TAS and Flinders are up 165.24% and 164.28 respectively from their lows of Spring last year.

    On top of this the 'Relative Strength' indicator for each stock is strong.
    Look at the 1-year chart for each stock - higher highs and higher lows. Highs on good to great to exceptional volume. Lows on modest to lower volume - thus the relative strength indicator being strong for each stock.

    It's hard to see any major barriers to continued moves up. We have the merger, Flinders startup mining and processing in July with their new production facility, and the goal of a strong mining company with high quality assets (heavy rare earths, tungsten, and large flake graphite) in a safe political area, with great infrastructure, and so on.

    The future looks very very positive.

  • VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - April 23, 2014) - Flinders Resources Limited ("Flinders" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:FDR) is pleased to provide a further update on the work program underway to restart graphite production from the Woxna mine and processing facility in central Sweden. Woxna is a fully permitted brownfields graphite mine, having been on care and maintenance since 2001. The plant refurbishment is on track to recommence production in July 2014.
    Key points:
    The flotation cells, sourced and shipped from North America, arrived at the Woxna site in Sweden on April 9th and were immediately installed in the Woxna plant (Photo 1 below). The assembly of the cell mechanicals and connection with pipework for the flotation circuit is now taking place (Photo 2 below);
    Other key plant equipment such as air compressors, vibrator feeder and conveyors systems have now arrived at site;
    Refurbishment works are progressing as scheduled with the plant to recommence production in July 2014
    Flinders' President & CEO, Blair Way, said: "The flotation cells are the backbone of the plant and their installation is the final key component for the finalization of the refurbishment project. Additionally, we have benefited from sourcing unused, but second-hand equipment at a cost much less than budgeted for in our initial estimates. We remain on schedule for a July restart to production."

    Flinders Up HUGE on MASSIVE Volume

    From Flinder's point of view, and given that TAS clearly wants a friendly merger, the exchange ratio of TAS to Flinders must improve significantly.

    Why? Because it is fair? No. It will probably be in a ratio of the actual stock prices of both over a set period of time. That period variers from merger to merger, but I would guess an average is 30 days. At this time it looks to be 2:1 or less.

    My opinion is that TAS, if not overjoyed at the improvement in Flinders' price, must recognize that the merger will mean more to their bottom line given the clear signal by the market that Flinders is a much more valuable asset than when the merger was originally discussed. And, that makes sense because when they first announced discussions Flinders was slowing and then stopping production, and is now going to restart mining given improved economics.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
