All the Noise about shorts driving CONN down

    by FlaBoy Jun 11, 2014 10:44 AM
    dogma_blade dogma_blade Jun 11, 2014 12:45 PM Flag

What point are you trying to make?

In your example short interest dropped from 8 million to 7.8 million from 5/15 to 5/30 while the stock rose from 40.51 to 46.64. That means the stock rose 15% while short interest dropped by 5%.

That seems to indicate the correlation that you are arguing against

I tend to think the drop was more likely due to people wanting to close a short term position before results were announced.

To try and support your argument you would have to point to a drop in short positions between June 1 and 15th accompanied by a corresponding drop in price.

Wook at the wittle turd following me from board to board. Posting like a spaz and losing it.

Once again it looks as though he will spend all weekend ranting and foaming at the mouth. It must really stink to not have a life of your own.

  • The truth comes out and the spaz loses it.

Back to adding multiple bs threads when he can't handle a post.

His lack of maturity and common sense is very obvious.

50 fake Ids, constant sexist, racist and homophobic attacks on other posters is where his true light shines.

How many ID's has the board tool had removed by yahoo.

The village idjut has realized how poor his choices are when he mentions them in advance and has gone back to bragging about how great the trades he made a few days ago were.

Real world traders have a name for the whinny little narcissists who don't have the b*lls to talk about their trades when they are making them and that term is a gelding.

Look at irish losing his shiat again!

Claiming that he sold app at .70 n3 days after it had hit that mark and come down to below his purchase price.

Biggest fool in the universe with 20/20 hind sight, still unable to announce trades while he is doing them, only able to proclaim genius ling after the fact . Whatta putz.

The house is not on fire either.

The best number in the quarterly was that the sales of branded products increased 23%, continuing a very long run of branded product growing over 20%

Their constant blow ups during the slow seasons have presented great opportunities to enter the stock on pullbacks.

Since most of the slowdown in sales growth came from the loss of a half a million dollar, store brand account (the other chunk came from the increase in promotional spending) the most important question becomes, what was the nature of that account last year that did not re order this year?

Was it a one time order, that will not have any effect on future quarters, or was it an account that placed re-orders that will have an effect on future quarters?

30% Quarterly Revenue Growth YOY is the key

The company already sells for about 4 times sales. The number of shares in next quarters numbers should be in the 150 million neighborhood because of all of the options that were exercised recently.

    Wait , no !!!

Wow the ID from the other board came to this board right after the board tool posted that it wasn't him.

But no it couldn't be him he wouldn't lie! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Must have hit very close to home with the comment about living in mom's basement.

Ever since that he has really spun out.

I'm sure mom is really nice, i bet she cuts the crust off of your sandwiches.

The little turd is spending the night posting rude impersonating responses to posts of mine dating back to the fall of last year.

I had forgotten that I even made some of the posts.

Me thinks someone needs to get a life and maybe they should look up the meaning of a board troll.

Enjoy the rest of your night making your #$%$ erotic posts in response to my posts. I might check a few out in the morning, but probably no more than that as you have only shown a capacity for rudeness and no capacity for wit.

The village idjut following me around from board to board with his #$%$ erotic advances.

He must rally want me. LOL

The putz posting from mommies basement seems to really be losing it.

Month after month the foolishness of his comments get pointed out and then it is proven that he does not live in his dream location on Sea Island, but is instead posting from mommies basement inland in Georgia. ROFLMAO

No need to worry about the options anymore. most have been cashed in and the dilution should show up in the next quarters numbers.

The fourth quarter results constantly have the lowest gross margin.Could be a combination of lower margins for sparkling cider business, seasonal store brand products, sales of excess supplies sold at break even or a loss or a combination of all of these things.

Last year when the loss was lower the stock fell even more going into the fourth quarter numbers and after the report. The big crime seemed to be that the sales did not increase 20%. Anyone could have seen this coming because Chris and the boy's were bragging about selling 1 million worth of inventory at break even the prior year on the call. The fact that people knew what was coming could be seen by as the price of the stock started down before the fourth quarter report and continued after the numbers were released.

This call was no better or worse than any of the prior calls. Let's see, he has attacked the leader of GT,Jones soda, bragged about firing the expert he brought in to fix the production line, bragged about not losing money getting rid of 1 million excess inventory (despite having to borrow money to finance the inventory) that was ordered before a private label account had placed an order, made the claim that private label sales were more profitable than brand sales and comment how the company was coming more numbers oriented without being prepared to answer any questions about numbers.Whether it is a lack of willingness to prepare for or treat the calls as a marketing experience or the willingness to just drop a bomb out of left field about how an injury to an employee had caused a big hit to one of the quarterly numbers, Chris has never showed any respect for or been particularly believable on the quarterly calls.

That being said sales growth can cure quite a few ills and if the sales rise over 20% for the next three quarters while being driven by the core brands and Kombucha, expect the stock to rise.

    Not worried at all.

If over 20% growth continues through the first three quarters the stock should rise again.

The question in the end comes down to what to do when the company hits the fourth quarter again and what happens if the growth dips below 20% (if it happens most likely to happen in first quarter due to weather).

two years ago everyone should have sold going into the fourth quarter knowing that the 20% growth number would not be reached because a million dollars worth of inventory had been sold in the fourth quarter 3 years ago and knowing that the company would not be smart enough to break it out and show that core sales had still grown over 20%.

When executives started leaving early this year it was not that hard guess that there would be some problem somewhere in the numbers that were going to be released.Time to get out and decide whether to buy back in after the drop.

Next few quarters should be good based on momentum of products, but for the long run it appears that they
are having more and more problems holding everything together.Short term buy for the third time, but unless they show something it will be time to get out either in the fourth quarter or before fourth quarter numbers are reported.

    11 new threads!!!

    Must have touched a nerve.

Sounds like living in moms basement must be near to the truth.

Funniest thing is the spaz said that it rained earlier ,but not now, then he figured out how foolish that sounded and 2 minutes later started a new thread saying it was sunny now, but supposed to rain later.

Calm down and take a deep breath spaz.Look on the bright side, not nearly as many people as you think are reading this board.

So you only look foolish to a few people who actually read this board.

Rainy on Sea Island, but clear and sunny once you go inland.

    The truth comes out. ROFLMAO

Daddy probably drove little Irish around the island once showing him all the big houses and he thought, that is what it means to be important.

So now he sits in his mom's basement and crows about an imaginary life on the beach.

If he wasn't such a sexist, racist, homophobe I might feel bad for him.
