Your rants sound really stupid when the stock keeps going down. Truth is we all were stupid to trust DECK the last ten points down and the roller coaster in between.
It is a good buy somewhere but obviously buying this dog above $80 has been a losing strategy so far. If it moves lower I may back up the truck with new money. It is hard to see this below $75.
Hope you bought some. because up about 20% since your post. This may be a sell here or at best a hold. If they miss earnings it could drop back to the $18 area.
Guess I was right. I thought they may be sandbagging last time. It still sucks they did that and let investors get whacked. I say they can't totally be trusted.
With that said DECK should see a move over $100 by year end. DECK moves are hard to predict but should do good over the next year especially if we get cold weather. I am not sure the $5 will hold tomorrow.
Walmart and several other grocery store have better produce in Texas. Who would ever buy paper towels, crackers, frozen food, and such at Sprouts? Milk is high and I think the cows are the same. Everyone has organics now and it is still a niche. They have a lot of inventory that turns over little.
Record Dow and this stock is down over $2 again This is horrible stock action.
It is very strange that after a good year the stock can not move up. There may be a lot of stock sold if it ever gets to $85 since many have been holding since that level.
I really thought it was ready to move up with all the news. It may be a bumpy summer. I may buy more if it falls lower. Bump $4 then give it right back. That is DECK. Yep. Normal BS.
I should have bought FB instead of this dog. Good company. Bad stock.
We got crushed after great earning because management lowered forward guidance. They really screwed a lot of investors which really did not need to be done after finally a great quarter. With another few months passing and not even close to the price before the last great quarter it is a buy somewhere.
With DECK such disappointing stock price action I think there may be a pop tomorrow if it beats numbers and it is hard to see much downside from here unless management is stupid to the extreme. I took a chance in my 401K. I might buy a little outside too. We need to get back to the $85 range then add some more in a quarter when cold weather is in view before I forgive the sucker punch. Others likely feel the same.
With the NASDAQ up 30% in 2013 this stock has been a laggard, It catches up somewhere one might think, We will see.
Guess $81.45 would have already occurred. I think I will just try a point here then reload for this choppy summer. Buy the close and sell for 1 point works a high percent of the times. Seems to take that 10:30 EST nearly every day after a open and move higher.
Agreed. The action was very poor with the market recovering from yesterday and DECK not doing much after down big yesterday. This stock seems sick.
Sounds like you may have a good guess but down 5 points from highs a little over a week ago while upgrades seems to not make much sense. Maybe we are missing something. I guess we will see next week,
Sold. Did a day trade. Bought back, Effectively cut my cost to $78.40.
I hope to make a few bucks soon after the open on the push up the first 30 minutes of trading. Nice day. Better than $3 down!
Looking for $79.23 tomorrow or Thursday for a point net profit. Depending I may sell weekly calls to eek out a profit if needed. Even looks much better than down. All this for maybe $400.
DECK kept going down all day. It just can not hold a gain. As the market rose DECK fell even after an upgrade. The stock will have a tough time breaking $85 and holding it.
There are just too many sellers on spikes over $80. I will play the one point bump one the open and give back until it does not work any more.
Maybe but this stock is still stinking it up again. I really thought we might go to $90 soon.
I sold 500 at $83.65 today and bought back 600 at $80.45 looking to sell at $82.45. Wow I can't complain about the $3.20 discount. DECK as a company looks great but the stock is suffering. It seems to swing down easy in a poor market but often trades lower later in the day even if the market rallies.
I got a buck today. Let me see if I can get another setting a sell at $80.70 for tomorrow or rest of week should we not spike a dollar at the open. We may spike over $82 but I do not think it holds long.
Sell short at $82 looks to be the best trade. I doubt we soar past $85 any tie soon.
It was $88 not long ago and after record earnings and a cold winter the stock is stuck in the mud. This stock could slide further if people think we are 3 months out before the management shoots at investors again.
Maybe they can even say Decker boots is fad that has run its coarse and give poor guidance to sandbag.
I think it was a hold at $81 but at $77 I think it is a buy. If we go down to $75 then load up the truck but what do I know. I bought a few shares at $85 thinking it would go over $100 for the 401K. That needs a 9% bump just to be even.
I stopped at Sprouts on Forest in Dallas yesterday and bought $15 of mostly produce but 2 burgers for dinner. The roasted chicken is nowhere near the price or quality of Sams or Costco. I often buy 2 or 3 a week and have to say you are waaaaaay off.
The produce was fine but not special. I got a few +$2 small peaches, few cukes that were not great but 50 cents, and some cheap apples for 99 cents.
I do this maybe once every two weeks but I spend hundreds at Walmart, Sams, Costco. See the difference? I think many do the same. The stock is headed south.
And do not forget up 31% in 2 years. Oh sorry that means add another year and 18% less.
Are you just choosing to ignore that the whole market was up 30% last year. I have a bridge to sell you!
I think there is a lot of people holding around $85 from 6 months ago so I doubt it flies through this area. It may be painful to get to $90. Trading sideways means trading in and out might be more profitable.
Selling the $80 calls worked great for you. Maybe I will try a few in the middle of next week if they look fat. A buck a week would be fine!
