Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect Intel to earn 53 cents a share on sales of $13.47 billion for the third quarter. That would translate to a year-over-year decline of 9% in earnings per share and flat sales.
Intel's sales have been down or flat for four straight quarters. The chipmaker's EPS has been down or flat for six quarters in a row. Intel's Q3 results are not expected to provide relief from that trend.
