This message board, and this stock, are stuck in a serious time warp. :0)

Shaul, seriously now, I find your posts quite funny...ever thought of doing some stand up comedy? :) Don't forget who taught you how to steal chickens!

    Sergey, are you still around?

All the best to you all, including Shaul,

    Hi psfried,

I've been out of EMITF for several months, but am considering getting back in, because of the upcoming Insightec IPO.

I was wondering whether you, or anyone else here, had an opinion regarding the following:

What is better, to buy EMITF, or to wait for Insightec to start trading, and just buy the Insightec stock?

In other words, do you think EMITF is a good buy regardless of its holdings in Insightec? Also, can you please remind me what percentage of Insightec is held by EMITF, and who are the other owners?

    Thanks a lot, :)

    >> By the way, Canne has released a list of its directors, if that is of interest to any.

    http://www.nrg.co.il/online/16/ART/886/876.html

Are you impressed? Will the regulators care?

    ----

No, I myself am not impressed, but the regulators may care, since both General Dayan and Mr. Shelach are leftists in their political orientation, and have connections in all the right places with our left-wing media (and government, of course), and in the eyes of people such as Itsik and co. - they "balance" the (many) right-wingers and religious people we have here at Elbit/Elscint/Canne (starting from Mr. Zisser himself, of course)...you know who's side I'm on :)

    >> Ilan, for me, even the realty market is more appetizing, not to mention Insightec and Gamida.

Real estate bores me to death, but if it brings in the $$$$$$$ - so be it.

Same thing goes for Channel 2.

I don't think Zisser is betting on a dead horse. He rarely does that, and in any case - Channel 2 is not going to disappear anytime soon, you can be sure of that beyond any doubt.

    Be well,

I don't know what your investment time frame is, but I myself will probably stop following EMITF a very long time before the commercial blocking technology you were referring to will have any effect on the general public. In any case, I too am much more interested in InSightec & StemEx, than I'm interested in "Kochav Nolad".

However, I believe that if and when the public will block commercials, other methods of generating profits from "eyeballs" will be found by the media companies, as is the case with other, non-commercial based TV channels, and as is becoming the case with Internet sites.

    All the best,

VectorVest says EMITF is UNDERVALUED and is worth $38.22 a share!

    Any comments?

Yes...$38.22/share? WTF?! Seems too high to me...

    Lets hope they're right!:)

    Press Release Source: Metalink

Metalink Announces Availability of Symmetric 100 Mbps VDSL Chipset

Thursday March 17, 8:00 am ET

    - State-of-the-Art Product Features Programmable Band Plan Selection

YAKUM, Israel, March 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Metalink Ltd. (NASDAQ: MTLK - News), a provider of high performance wireline and wireless broadband communication silicon solutions, today announced the commercial availability of a new generation of its VDSLPlus(TM) Very High bit rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL) transceivers with the ability to transmit both upstream and downstream at breakthrough rates of 100 Mbps.
Designed with the special performance requirements of Japanese carriers in mind, Metalink's VDSLPlus(TM) chipset provides unmatched performance of symmetric 100 Mbps for more than 200 meters.

"We have demonstrated our VDSLPlus(TM) technology to leading system vendors and carriers in Korea and Japan, and systems based on our 100Mbps symmetric VDSL chipsets are currently in the advanced development phase by leading Japanese and Korean vendors," said Tzvi Shukhman, Metalink's Chairman and CEO.

Metalink's wide bandwidth VDSLPlus(TM) technology supports record transmission speed in a real noise environment while maintaining spectral compatibility with existing services such as ISDN, ADSL, and ADSL2+ among others. The low power consumption and small die size of the VDSLPlus(TM) chipset make it the perfect choice for carriers looking for a cost-effective fiber extension solution.

Metalink's 100 Mbps Symmetric VDSLPlus(TM) provides fiber-like speeds over existing copper infrastructure. Given the prohibitive last-mile deployment costs of all-optical networks, VDSLPlus(TM) is an ideal fiber extension, which provides a cost-effective solution for bridging the last 200 meters to the subscriber.

Teresa Mastrangelo, Principal Analyst at broadbandtrends.com, commented, "This unique demonstration of 100 Mbps symmetric transmission over 200 meters of standard (26 AWG) single twisted pair is proving once again the ability of current copper infrastructure to offer fiber speeds, helping carriers in their transition to triple-play service providers. The perpetual development in xDSL technology and its ability to evolve to new record heights is yet another validation of the important role copper infrastructure will continue to play in future broadband services deployment."

"We are proud to lead the industry once again with a high-performance chipset. VDSLPlus is the ultimate fiber extension - a cost-effective solution for providing fiber-speed services using the existing copper infrastructure. We believe this latest-generation product of our field-proven VDSL product line will be widely adopted by operators and will become an important driver of our future growth," concluded Mr. Shukhman.

    Mr Israel-Rosen,

I would appreciate knowing whether there will be any kind of lawsuit against PARS' executives?

    Thanks a lot,
