getaclueorgetglue, you called a bottom last week. I posted a reply to you, and you deleted your original bottom call post within less than a few hours. The lesson is if you are going to forecast, then forecast often. That looks like your plan now.
cphammer, I never believed the land MNKD may be contemplating is contiguous to the current MNKD Afrezza plant. I just think it implies more growth in the future for MNKD, and I think it is good long term planning for that growth -- whether for Afrezza or something else.
cphammer, I read a bit further in the Danbury news article, and the Chamber of Commerce spokesman said the land MNKD is looking at for factory expansion is a brownfield parcel. I looked up the meaning of brownfield in this context. It is a term for land that has been used for industrial or commercial use, and MAY be contaminated by low concentrations of hazardous waste or pollution, and has the potential to be reused once it is cleaned up. Once cleaned up, such an area can become host to a business development.
I would think this means MNKD can buy the land for a cheaper price, and will certainly include covenants that the deal could not close until the EPA or responsible government agency verifies any problems are removed from the property. To me this parcel of land under consideration by MNKD is good, cost effective long term planning. It will take time for all that to happen.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
kevinmik, I found the Novolog FlexPen Instructions pdf , and, even though the instructions are many and varied, it is striking the number of mechanical, fluid, and quality issues the diabetic user must master for the pen to function properly.
Social media, diabetes, and medical websites will be saturated quickly by testimonials from people who have tried and use Afrezza as soon as Afrezza is available on the market. The diabetic community will be enthusiastic about spreading the news about a superior meal time insulin that can keep their blood sugar in range without having to worry about hypoglycemia.
I also have not been able to post much of anything over the past three days. I don't post much lately anyway, but I have been surprised in recent days at how few times my posts will not post to this message board. However I see many other people who appear to have no trouble posting hundreds of times. Is there some location where anyone can simply send a handle to disallow posting?
mann ontop2, I took your suggesting, and I agree. There are some good articles there without the meaningless chatter this message board has become in many posts.
redhaw, I noticed you had a bottom call discussion with getaclueorgetglue earlier today. I also noticed getaclueorgetglue deleted his bottom call, for around 8.70, post. Why do you think he did that? He writes that he is a realist, but maybe history for him is to be revised.
I do not believe Matt was contacted by the writer for that Karp article posted today. I would find it very unusual for Matt to comment on such an article. It appears Matt's comment was lifted from some other article in another context in the past.
richlittle, this is a direct quote of the 9:37 am Briefing news item: "Mannkind: Hearing early strength being attributed to chatter that co is close to announcing a partnership with Roche (RHHBY)." There was no other comment or addition.
kevinmik, I am sure MNKD would let a potential big pharma partner run its own short experiment on diabetics of its choosing to verify any part of Mannkind's Afrezza claims about PK/PD, hypoglycemia, etc. Heck if the big pharma were to run the experiments the way Al Mann wanted to run the FDA phase III trials, the big pharma will get even more favorable results with Afrezza. This could help the big pharma know what kind of label it could eventually get with Afrezza.
electdon30, the 2400 $20 puts were sold NOT bought for $10.55. the 2400 $20 calls were bought for a couple of pennies. Someone either thinks there is little downside and possibly very large upside before August 16 expiration, or he is short 240,000 shares and wants protection on a sharp upside move. Anywhere between 20 and 9.45 the trader makes money, could buy the shares for a profit, or could cover his short. the $20 calls are either upside profit, or they are hedging a short position if MNKD were to zoom above $20 by expiration.
colton_harden1, in your future posts please preface your remarks with "I'm not a smart man, but...." Your constant posting reminds me of Forest Gump's running for a year for reasons only he might have understood.
kimi.held, thanks for the information. Sorry I misunderstood your HGSI input to the disdain of cedafuntennis. I am sure that does not matter to you though.
kimi.held, are you saying MNKD is trading 250% higher than Friday's close in German market trading? What is the price MNKD is trading there?
If one googles Regulation SHO Release 34-61595 , you will find the above wording in the .pdf file in the 3rd link from Shearman and Sterling. The input from luvmeplezz appears to be valid to me.
Cramer is on vacation, because his show has been "training" stuff all week. I never watch that kind of training.
