yeah, skeetz, there may be something hiding in there after all and I bet you're the guy that will figure it out. But that don't sell newspapers. Around here, we sell doom and gloom. Because here in America, we don't even care about getting rich no more, we just don't wanna be as F'd over as that poor SOB down the street.
Now you run whatever candidate out to the dog and pony show, and I'll give him a look-see. But whatever you do don't cancel "The VOICE". What I'm tryin to say is, the sooner we get Jack Bauer back on the tube, the better I'll feel.
Well, I wasn't really tryin to say that, that's just what came out. But the fact is Nokia's a gonner and ole Jack Bauer knows it.
i'm guessing we go lower. That's why i dumped this company. They don't make anything anymore.
you should probably come over to the short side. pumpers ain't got much left in 'em.
7.50 might be gone forever now.
gotta agree with you there. Shorts were held at bay till after the sale, now they will resume the beating on what is left of this company (which isn't much). But as long as they have cash available - like the same mistake apple made, they are going to suffer.
Doesn't matter what the market does now earth. For these sad sacks, it's all about how much the big boys strip from Nokia's dead carcass. Nokia==Kodak (without the faded pictures of past glory)
i never liked "good will" it just sounds fake, doesn't it?
Guess you don't have 5.44Billion after all Actually the gain on the sale is closer to 3 Billion, according to company reports. But the pumpers don't want to do math. Stay tuned, and remember to turn on you cash-to-trash converter.
Got too fixated on a 6.xx figure and could have dumped the mindless pump for a nice profit already.
That's the problem with playing with manipulated stocks... ya gotta be quick.
I'm a big fan of dividends. But to answer you question, in Nokia's case, here's how it works. You get a dividend to compensate you for an under performing stock. Then you pay 30% foreign tax - withheld immediately. In other words, If you are a true socialist, you get to support the cause, even as an American. Otherwise you will have to wait for the end of the year to pay the U.S. government capital gains taxes so they can in turn redistribute your wealth to our internal socialists. Remember, this is additional tax since obviously the taxes you already paid on income to fund your investment was already paid long ago.
All in all though, it's a pretty good deal.
would you stop interrupting? I mean at least get Frenchie to write some lines for you. -now that guy is funny. Or Harley, don't get Harley on me, I take that guy to heart! I mean when Harley pulls my card, man it hurts - cause the guy tells the truth man, and sometimes i take it too far and he pulls me back in. And like even Phantom or Farhan those guys are committed and i don't like stinging them too bad.
But YOU? you gotta pay your dues if you wanna sing the blues. and you don't rate.
not enough. it's never enough. that's why people stay in after hitting a 2 year high. But if you are smart you get out and wait for the panic. They don't panic all the time. But when they panic, it's always the same. I hear it you know. I hear them in my sleep. I can hear them now. They are getting closer.
Good morning ladies and..... trample trample trample
He was a MOLE !!! You still don't get it? He drove the price down to below CASH. He restricted production with "supply side problems" to levels where it was IMPOSSIBLE for Nokia to make money. He kept doing it for 5 quarters until it was IMPOSSIBLE for nokia to recover. Then he stopped stabbing us in the back and the bleeding stopped. Then he pulled out his $25 MILLION dollar deferred compensation package that he got from Microsoft and paid for by Nokia and everybody said "hey these stab wounds aren't so bad" Maybe we should start making phones in a couple of years...
The worm said SELL.
you guys believed everything he told you till he ripped your heart out and gutted your company and fired thousands of people and stole $25 million dollars from you. Nobody is going to believe anything they say tomorrow. To top it off, you will all tune in to Cramer who will tell you he knew it all along.
The cash was baked in at $6.25 pretty quick. It's over and the news is bad. The earnings have dropped. The indians have their hand out, the bondholders have their hand out. The shareholders have their hand out. Loeb has his hand out. Their is NOTHING they can say that will improve this situation. Not to mention, their earnings calls are conducted like funerals on the best of days.
The only good news is that tomorrow will be over soon and you can start planning on how to sell NSN before it goes bust.
