No more than you sir.
In case you didn't know, you have several options;
Option 1: You can look at the Title of the post and decide before hand weather it's worth your valuable time to open it up or not.
Option 2: If there are posters that you care not to even see their posts, you can put those posters (like me) on ignore and never worry about seeing anything that they post.
Option 3: You can be curious and open up posts from posters that you disagree with, weather that may be using the correct posting board for their postings, the posters politics or the posters view of the future of what is most important Chevron vs Politics. And then after reading, posting some kind of nasty remark regarding my intellectual capacity.
A further comment if I may sir, when your IQ reaches 50, I would recommend that you sell!
You can't own enough Chevron; buy on the dips, continue to accumulate shares as it will split before you know it and enjoy the dividends!

clnrr1980, Great comment and spot on advice for all the younger folks. Oil and especially Chevron is going to be around for many decades to come. To find a replacement for oil and it's by-products that are used in most of the products that we all use on a daily basis seals it's future. Chevron has always had solid and experienced board members as well as a well vetted and proven leadership candidate program.
What a great company to work for and retire from!! I am truly a lucky man….
Quit sending me three and four word sentences that have no meaning and opening up my posts. Thank you very much….
The Affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare) is far more reaching than just health care. With 22k pages of legalize and rules, it touches the lives of Americans in way you have not even thought of yet. And all those rules and regulations do not lower health care costs, only increases them as the rest of Obamacare kicks in over the next several years.
It's not a pretty thing!!!
Subsidized is an oblique word for money coming from hard working US citizens, companies and corporations and re-directed by the government.
If the Supreme Court strikes down these subsidies, 13 million people would lose an average of $4,700 a year, and health-care providers would certainly fight to protect some $60 billion a year in subsidies.
I don’t feel sorry or have any sympathy for 13 million shaking down 300,000,000. As for the Health Care providers, these losers will get exactly what they deserve for supporting the fraud called “Obamacare”. They chose to support the fraud, it’s only “fair” they should pay. Literally!
There is no cure! Obamacare is an incurable money sucking mess, It's been on life support since it's inception, pun intended. It was based on fraud and deception and I'm just amazed at the idiocy involved with Washington, on both sides of the aisle, trying to compensate for this financial monstrosity, as if some magic wand can be waved curing this brain dead tax sucking Frankenstein, launching taxpayers and non taxpayers alike into more health and financial misery, while increasing substandard care, and another bureaucratic government induced nightmare of incompetency and mountains of bureaucratic paper work that only the devil himself could conceive.
Politicians trying to fix this chaotic cluster medical and financial debacle to say the least, is both laughable and sad, that human beings, at this point in time, can be so socially and economically devolved!
If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there would be a shortage of sand.
Obamacare has been so horrendously bad for this country, the voters have spoken loudly over the last six years or so.
Since 2008, Democrats have lost 69 House seats, 13 Senate seats, 910 state legislative seats, 30 state legislative chambers and 11 governors’ offices.
These Republicans were hired to stop Obama and Obamacare!
In the more immediate future, CBO expects 16 million to get subsidies in 2016 and 13 million to gain Medicaid/CHIP coverage. The spending on those individuals, however, is expected to be close to $5,000 per person that year, without accounting for any revenue from the ACA. The CBO estimates that the 16 million getting subsidies for exchange health policies in 2016 would get an average subsidy of $4,700, and the $64 billion spent on Medicaid and CHIP that year comes out to $4,923 per new Medicaid enrollee.
Whether subsidizing health insurance for people other than those previously uninsured is a worthwhile government expense is a matter of opinion, of course. But readers should know that the law’s spending goes beyond the uninsured.
Finally, the Daily Mail article laments the “stunning” spending figures from the “bombshell” report, but the CBO’s latest spending projections are in fact downward revisions of previous estimates.
Congressional Budget Office, Jan. 26: Compared with the projection from last April, which spanned the 2015–2024 period, the current projection represents a downward revision in the net costs of those provisions of $101 billion over those 10 years, or a reduction of about 7 percent. And compared with the projection made by CBO and JCT in March 2010, just before the ACA was enacted, the current estimate represents a downward revision in the net costs of those provisions of $139 billion — or 20 percent — for the five-year period ending in 2019, the last year of the 10-year budget window used in that original estimate.
Kominski stressed to us that while the costs associated with the ACA are not insignificant, they are a small portion of total national health expenditures in the United States. In 2013 alone, national health spending totaled $2.9 trillion, more than double the 10-year net cost of the ACA. The nation’s total spending for that year amounted to $9,255 per person.

You are correct, I did include that story in a previous post on this board. Weather it's an old post or not it's still a very accurate and telling description of what has gone on with Obama and his administration over the last 6 years.
If you find my posts offensive or not of your liking, don't open them!
Obamacare was originally estimated to cost the average person about $30k over the next 10 years.
The latest CBO estimates are now $50k per person over the next 10 years. That looks to me to be close to a 67% increase from the original estimate that was sold by Obama and the Democrats to the American public. Remember all the sales talk?
Again, a 67% increase from the original estimate!!
If Barack Obama were the CEO of a major US Corporation he would have been fired long ago based on his lies, double talk, law breaking decisions and failure to follow through on his promises.
Thx for the sound and common sense advise! Hopefully some of the constant whiners will take it to heart.
This board is what ever the majority of the users want it to be. And presently, it seems that political subjects are more in vogue and important to many Americans than individual comments regarding the the daily ups and downs of Chevron stock.
Regarding Chevron, I have held Chevron stock for more than 40 years and have never had a thought about selling, only accumulating more. Over the years, I have continued to buy more on a consistent basis and that theory has treated my family very well. Presently, living on their generous dividends.
People who post on the Chevron board regarding the daily, weekly and monthly ups and downs of Chevron stock are not really investors. They are only wanna bees that think they are impressing others with their new found market rhetoric.
They real future is learning about present day news and politics and thinking about who is best to lead our Great Republic forward and preserving the futures of our children and grandchildren…..
There’s an old sea story about a ship’s Captain who inspected his sailors, and afterward told the first mate that his men smelled bad.
The Captain suggested perhaps it would help if the sailors would change underwear occasionally. The first mate responded, “Aye, aye sir, I’ll see to it immediately!”
The first mate went straight to the sailor’s berth and announced, “The Captain thinks you guys smell bad and wants you to change your underwear.”
He continued, “Reid, you change with Schumer, Obama, you change with Holder, Jackson, you change with Sharpton, Valerie, you change with Hillary, Pelosi, you change with Boxer, Gurber, you change with Sebelius, Durbin, you change with Lahey, Biden, you change with Warren and Rangel, you change with deBlasio.”
THE MORAL OF THE STORY:
Someone may come along and promise “Change” but don’t count on things smelling any better.
Obama, “Change You Can Count On.” He so loved the progressive liberals and poor he created millions more with the help of the left leaning news media....
And, they voted for him... Twice!
Obama, Biden, Holder, Kerry and Jerrette: The gates are down, the lights are flashing but, the train ain’t coming.
The danger to America is not only Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the Presidency of the United States. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama Presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their President. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the Prince Of Fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their Prince. Our great Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their President.
I feel so much safer now knowing the following:

Just out today, 2/20/2015
800,000 customers sent incorrect tax info.
California just announced a similar problem affecting about 100,000 people in that state.
Another 50,000 or so who already filed may have to resubmit their returns.
Federal officials also announced a special sign-up extension for uninsured people facing the health care law’s tax penalties.
Remember, this ridiculous circus act cost us billions of dollars just for administrative overhead and computer infrastructure. They had years to get ready for the launch of ObamaCare… and they’re still making stupid errors that cost hundreds of thousands of Americans time and money.
