    In the majority of US states, there are too many federal and state workers, unions, teachers, police and fire fighters with unrealistic pension promises (underfunded and or unfunded in most cases I might add) for politics in your state to change in the near future.

    Hard working American tax payers are being out voted. Unless all those hard working people that usually stay home during election time don’t decide to get out and vote in 2016, existing politics in your state is unlikely to change.

    In your state, what is the ratio of federal, state, teacher, firefighter, police and other union employees vs ordinary working citizens who either own and or are employed in private business? How many people are either on welfare, food stamps and or other state or federal assisted programs funded by working tax payers? How many illegal aliens are in your state that are on welfare, food stamps and or other state and federal assistance programs funded by working tax payers?

    As in the past, the majority will vote for the party that says “more” not less and the majority of hard working tax paying Americans will stay home and not cast their vote.

    Unless things change in 2016, they win and hard working Americans will continue to lose!!!

    What is it going to take for hard working, tax paying American citizens to get to the voting both and vote in 2016??

    PAA has been in California for many years and is quite knowledgeable regarding potential law suits over spills and dealing with a ton of environmental kooks and their low life attorneys. PAA will clean up the spill, make the necessary corrections, meet all of the California environmental laws and will be in business in California long after the pesky environmental's bones have turned to ashes and PAA is selling well over $100.00 per share or has split.

    One of the best measurements of large oil companies is, "Return on Capital Employed (ROCE). Chevron has consistently out performed Exxon over the last decade or so and thru several CEO's. Plus, Chevron has always had a superior dividend vs Exxon.

    So, when oil prices start to rise and come back as they always do anyone interested in the oil industry should invest their hard earned dollars in Chevron. It really is a great company and has been for many years.

    Any way you want to slice it, the Middle East is just about to explode. If Iran is allowed nuclear power and a path to a bomb, Israeli will not stand for that. They are fighting for their very existence. I think than several of the more affluent Middle Eastern Countries are negotiating with Pakistan now..... Iran with North Korea.

    And don't get me started on Obama and his administration of tell me one thing and do another…

    Bottom line and any way you want to slice it, oil prices are going to rise in the future and NOW is the time to buy.

    CLEAN UP YOUR MESS!

    California has not built one water reservoir in the last 35 years due to idiots like mmchale720 and the rest of the left wing progressive democratic radical environmentalist nut cases that dominate their state. Now, they are suffering a drought that could have been averted by smart water planning, they are getting what they deserve. However, I do feel sorry for the farmers.

    The PAA leak will get cleaned up and the oil and gas business will remain strong in California.

  • Argentina is quickly becoming the venue for the next shale boom.

    Argentina is home to 27 billion barrels of recoverable oil and 802 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, primarily in and around multiple prolific shale basins in the central Neuquen province, including the prized Vaca Muerta shale.

    ExxonMobil (XOM), has made two major discoveries on its Vaca Muerta acreage, and Chevron (CVX), is expected to have over 300 wells in production by the end of 2015 in a joint venture with Argentina's YPF.

    Canada's Madalena Energy (TSXV: MVN; OTC:MDLNF) - trading at less than 3 cents per recoverable barrel - is sitting on an astounding 2.9 billion boe of net estimated recoverable resources and drilling in four strategic resource plays including the Vaca Muera shale, Loma Montosa Oil Resource Play, Lower Agrio Shale and Liquids-rich Mulichinco.

    With lack luster economies and stalled growth in the US, Europe, China, Japan, Russia and others, the Middle East in turmoil and about ready to explode, an oversupply of oil and storage capacities full around the world it would seem to me that we (The USA) should be filling our strategic reserves while the price of oil is low.

    The price of oil will not stay this low for long (next 3 to 5 years).

    If Iran the receives the go ahead for their quest for nuclear power and bomb it will put the Middle East in an unbalanced position and SA and others will then feel the need to pursue nuclear power and bomb.

    I don't think Israel will stand for that. And that is when things start to fly apart in the Middle East.

    So tell me again how long oil prices are going to stay this low......

    Snoops is one of the biggest left wing, progressive, Democratic supporters in the business. Maybe you should try factcheck.org.....

  • When will the media ask Barack Obama & HillaryClinton key questions for 2016? For example, knowing what we know now, would you still have abandoned Iraq?

    How can you call, "Facts" being racist?

    Just a couple of comments if I may:

    Islam, one of the most repressive religions against women and basic human rights in the world. Maybe you should do more reading and research???

    In case you haven't bothered to notice, in every country where Muslims are in the minority, they are obsessed with minority rights. In every country with a Muslim majority..... there are no minority rights.

    The radical Muslim cuts off the head of the infidel. While the moderate Muslim holds the feet of the victim.

    Questions That Should Be Asked and Answered by Hillary Clinton By the US New Media in a national and televised interview.

    Why did you specifically set up a private email server as Secretary of State?

    Why didn’t you comply with State Department guidelines in hiding Clinton Foundation Donations?

    What relationships do you have with particular media members?

    Should women be permitted to abort full-term babies?

    Why do you think religious Americans should be re-educated?

    Did you make the right decision in Libya?

    Did your Russian re-set work?

    Why didn’t you label Boko Haram a Radical Islamist Terrorist Group?

    In case you haven’t seen this video, please take the time to view and think about it. The futures of our children and grandchildren are in hanging in the balance.

    Most people just go along with the flow and really do not understand how or why the world is changing.

    The OBITUARY For Common Sense:

    by dowjones1234 May 13, 2015 12:03 PM

    kea_lani_maui:

    I think you must be one of Common Sense's 5 step brothers. Which one are you: I know my rights, I want it now, Someone else is t blame, I'm a victim or pay me for doing nothing??? The Chevron Board is dying to know.....

  • dowjones1234 by dowjones1234 May 13, 2015 12:03 PM Flag

    Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend. Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

--Knowing when to come in out of the rain;

    --Why the early bird gets the worm;

--Life isn't always fair;

    --And maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.

    Reports of a 6 -year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

    Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses, and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

    Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

    Common Sense was preceded in death,

--by his parents, Truth and Trust,

    --by his wife, Discretion,

--by his daughter, Responsibility,

--and by his son, Reason,

    He is survived by his 5 stepbrothers;

--I Know My Rights

--I Want It Now

--Someone Else Is To Blame

--I'm A Victim

--Pay Me For Doing Nothing

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
