  • Canadian's Version of David Letterman's Top 10.
Just makes you want to shake your head in disbelief. This is Canada's Top Ten List of America's Stupidity. Of course we look like idiots .... It’s because we are.

10 Only in America could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000.00 per plate Obama campaign fund-raising event.
9 Only in America ...could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a  black President, a black Attorney General and roughly 20% of the federal workforce is black while only 14% of the population is black 40+% of all federal entitlements goes to black Americans - 3X the rate that go to whites, 5X the rate that go to Hispanics.
8 Only in America...could they have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner (former head of the Treasury Department) and Charles Rangel (who once ran the Ways and Means Committee), BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.
7 Only in America...can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.
6 Only in America...would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege, while they discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just 'magically'  become American citizens (probably should be number one).
5 Only in America....could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be thought of as  EXTREMISTS.

4 Only in America...could you need to present a driver's license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.
3 Only in America...could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. Oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).
2  Only in America... could you collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more than it has per year: for total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.
1 Only in America...could the rich people: who pay 86% of all income taxes - be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay any income taxes at all.

I vote Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my German Shepherd.
I vote Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon at 15% isn't.
I vote Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.
I vote Democrat because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.
I vote Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves. I am also thankful that we have a 911 service that gets police to your home in order to identify your body after a home invasion.
I vote Democrat because I'm not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive and comfy.
I vote Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits, and we should take away Social Security from those who paid into it.
I vote Democrat because I believe that businesses should not be allowed to make profits for themselves.  They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the Democrat Party sees fit.
I vote Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.
And, the #1 reason I vote Democrat is because I think it's better to pay billions of dollars for oil to people who hate us, but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle, gopher, or fish here in America. We don't care about the beetles, gophers, or fish in those other countries.

    Hey Wally:

Just close your eyes, tilt your head back, relax and picture Barack Obama as CEO of Chevron for the last 5.5 years. Are you there yet Wally?
Now open your eyes and tell me what you see…….

Tell me about it's share price, 1 year target price, Beta vs the S&P500, Market cap, P/E ratio and EPS. Tell me about it's divined yield and whose left on the board of directors. Tell me about taxes and EPA regulations.

I can't believe you are on the Chevron message board with an attitude and political affiliation that you apparently have….

With the world awash in oil, OPEC members refusing to lower production and the US forging ahead as the largest producer of oil and natural gas, what does that spell for the stock prices of the major oil companies over the next 1 to 3 years?

How does this pending oil glut effect the stock prices of U.S. Energy MLP’s over the next 1 to 3 years?

Thank you in advance for your thoughtful opinions.

If Barack Obama would have been the CEO of a major US Corporation he would have been fired and jailed long ago based on his lies, double talk, law breaking decisions and failure to follow through on his promises.

    What Happened January 1, 2014!

The danger to America is not only Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the Presidency of the United States. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama Presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their President. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. Our great Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their President.

Get a grip, face reality! Obama is worthless! He is the worst US President that we have ever had. Even worse than Jimmy Carter!

In case you didn't notice. Here is what happened on January 1, 2014:

Top Medicare tax went from 1.45% to 2.35%

Top income tax bracket went from 35% to 39.6%

Top income payroll tax went from 37.4% to 52.2%

Capital Gains tax went from 15% to 28%

Dividends tax went from 15% to 39.6%

Estate tax went from 0% to 55%

Remember this fact:

These taxes were all passed only with democrat votes, no republicans voted for these taxes.

These taxes were all passed under the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare. And, you thought it was a healthcare bill, didn't you.

Better think twice when you vote in November!

    Let’s get real here.

The US and it’s Allies have determined the names and locations of the top 15 supporters and financiers of the ISIS, ISIL and other brutal Islamic State militant terrorist groups. The US and it’s Allies are going to use every means necessary to eliminate you and your family members from the face of this earth no matter where you go or where you hide.

You may expect this action to start within the next 10 days!

If this action is ignored, the next 15 top supporters and financiers will be our targets. The US and it’s Allies will relentlessly continue this action until there are no supporters or financiers of any brutal Islamic State militant groups left on the face of the earth.

    Signed:

    USA and Allies

Thx wally. We are wasting a lot of innocent lives to please the whims of the wealthy. Those who are supporting and funding the Islamic State militant terrorist groups are MORE guilty than the fighters that are setting the bombs and pulling the triggers….. Just my humble opinion. The sooner they find out that they can no longer hide from the evil that they are doing the quicker peace will reign…..

We all keep hearing, seeing and reading about how vicious and brutal that the Islamic State militant terrorist groups are.
Instead of fighting these individual terrorist groups in endless battles and wars, the US and all of it’s Allies should find out who the major funders and supporters of these groups are.
Once that information is known and verified, the US and all of it’s Allies should use every means possible to destroy each one of these individuals physically as well as economically.
Unfortunately, I think the US and all of it’s Allies already know who these individuals are but, instead of eliminating them on an individual basis, we continue to perpetuate the never ending ground wars through the sale of guns and ammunition.
Multiple, periodic and large arial strikes that would eliminate at least 90% of these individuals, where ever they may be located, would set back the advance of those groups, warn other rich people to think twice about supporting brutal Islamic State militant terrorist groups and save tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of lives of innocent people around the world. Let’s get started!

    9 Big Mistakes!

    tedbazol:

thx for your response and opinion. I would very much appreciate your point by point refutation of my stated points, thx in advance for your wisdom and facts.

Now regarding the funding and support of ISIS. The Iranian government may not be directly funding ISIS but rest assured the ruling class in Iran are seeing to it that funding and support to ISIS as well as several other terrorist groups is and has been ongoing for quite sometime and are responsible for much of the present and continued Middle East turmoil.

Presently and more so as time goes on, it is a proven fact that Obama and his liberal, progressive and democratic supporters were elected to office on lies, mistruths, omissions and mistakes. Twice!

When I think of what Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Eric Holder, Barbra Boxer, Charles Rangel, #$%$ Durbin, Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee and others have done to our Great Republic over the past 6 to 10 years, it absolutely turns my stomach.

  • dowjones1234 by dowjones1234 Aug 12, 2014 7:19 PM Flag

The US and all of it's Allies must to do a blitz and find out the details (names, detailed family member information, countries, addresses if any, banks and bank accounts where they do business, assets, investments etc.etc.) of who and whom are funding all of these radical terrorists groups. Once that information has been assembled, give a date certain for stopping the funding and support of those terrorists organizations or pay the consequences of deadly force and personal elimination.

The US and their allies should work together to use all force necessary to eliminate all of those that support and fund any terrorist organization world wide.

We continue to allow people that have no morals, values or principles to beat us with our own stick of high morals, values and principles.

It’s time to circle the wagons with all of our allies, draw a hard and unified line and with all terrorist organizations and let them know we mean deadly business just as they do....

Let's assemble the sides and go to work!
