    There will likely be some early data from the I-SPY trials in breast cancers before the Galaxy-2 data is out. It is also possible that there may be some news on other investigator sponsored trials such as ovarian cancer. The biggest disappointment to me is that the first HSP90i drug conjugate won't start trials until early 2016. My view is I will lighten up on my SNTA holdings before the Galaxy-2 data is out. The only question for me is point now is whether I will be lucky enough to be able to do so at a price higher than now.

    The discussion is about market size and potential and Feuerstein leaving out the Medicare/Medicaid market is a major error. As far as who has that market, so far Missouri is in the ABBV camp and the rest is up for grabs. I will point out that your use of the $6 million estimates are meaningless now and distorts reality. ABBV is claiming sales will approach $3 billion by 2015 year end. For the record, I also own GILD and got in at $79.

    Good post wineilli, but I think adding both ABBV and ENTA have merits, but on different levels. I like reading Adam Feuerstein, but his articles often miss keep points and his recent foray into ABBV and the HepC market is no exception. He omitted talking about the large Medicare/Medicaid HepC market but there has been a nice discussion about it, as well as the tiered royalties to ENTA on the Ihub Biotech values board. I would put a link here but the "new and imporved" yahoo blocks such links.

    {{I know a dr vinman you live in Missouri?}}

    No I don't live in Missouri.

    {{I guess being right to you is arrogant.}}

    You haven't been proven right on anything. You made a guess based on zero data, and in a year we will see how wrong that guess of yours was.

    {{You dont sound too humble for a man that is losing so much. How did your $44 buy do today, Oh i forgot one share that is a hamburger. going without lunch made up for it huh. You would have thrown it up anyway. I said why I got out when I got out and it turned out to be true.}}

    I am still up on my ENTA purchases overall. It is irrelevant that my $43 purchase from the other day is down. When I invest, I do it with a horizon of years not days or hours. Your foray into cuisine is another childish attempt to belittle when I called you on your guess based on no data, and you don't like being called out as a fraud.

    {{You guys spout the article about the phase 3 in Japan as if it was a big deal when GILD had a phase trial that did 100% in Japan a month ago so your trial is a failure compared to it. that was a reason to sell. Lets see will Japan choose a 100% cure or a 95% cure. hard one even for the insurance companies NOT. The news keeps hitting you in the face and you want more.}}

    I made no comment on the Japanese trial data. Even you can't be stupid enough to look at a small trial of 88 patients and extrapolate to a 100% cure rate in the general population. The number of patients in the ABBV trial was small as well with only a handful showing viral relapse.

    {{I would love to play poker with you. I have met lots like you that like to lose.}}

    Non-sequitiur and childish comments. At least you are consistent.

  • dr.vinmantoo dr.vinmantoo Feb 3, 2015 8:11 PM Flag

    {{so following your statement above "nobody has real numbers" which is correct then all your pontificating about multibillion sales is BS and you are investing based on hope not real numbers and that is why it is going down.}}

    I never gave any predictions for sales, but I find it amusing that you need to lie when it is so easy to check.

    {{the numbere I spouted are the best I feel it will do based on current sales extrapolated for growth}}

    Apparently you don't understand how extrapolations works. You start with a series of reliable data points then make predictions based on that data on an attempt to predict future events. Only a fool would try and extrapolate for an entire year when there is NO data from which to generate a baseline from which one can extrapolate. That is what you have done, and you attack others who point out the fallacy of your predictions.

    {{Keep adding til yoIu lose mommas retirement. She is not going to be happy with you.}}

    Your comments about how my mother or my wife would react are truly childish and only serve to illustrate the weakness of your arguments, and your character. By the way, both of them are deceased.

    The message boards are full of arrogant clowns like this rlbeard fellow. Right, according to his numbers.... You don't have any numbers, you are spouting off without any knowledge. Nobody has any real numbers yet, and it will be at least two quarters before we get a good feeling of how sales are going and be able to project sales growth estimates. I did enjoy that pearl of "wisdom" where you said the price could go down if sales are lower than estimates. You are gooood. Hey, the price could go up if sales are better than analyst's predictions.

    Congrnat on selling and I hope you did make a few bucks wineilly. I bought GILD at $79. I bought ABBV on friday at $60. I bought ENTA at $38 and gain on friday at $43. If ABBV and ENTA drop more, I will buy more of both. My view is that it is foolish to try and pick one winner in the HepC market. The market is very large and big profits to be made by multiple companies.

    The idiot short Faber climbed it was time to sell biotech and the sheep follow. I love it when I am given the chance to buy lots of good biotechs at low prices. I just bought some ABBV and ENTA. More to follow.

    I have been expecting another big broad-based drop like we had after Yellen shouted fire when the theater wasn't on fire. Looking like we may get that chance soon and that makes the best time to make money. As far as jmeilink the imbecile, he forget to note that the Dow was now big yesterday too but PGNX was up. Today PGNX is begin dragged down like the rest of the stocks.

    snt951, when Relistor was first entered into trials, the projected market for Relistor in OIC for chronic pain was stated by PGNX and its partners to give an idea of the potential value of the drug. I don't understand your reasoning. Why in the world would PGNX not want talk up a valuable asset when partners come calling?

    lba40, you are on target. It would be nice for PGNX to give investors an estimate of the size of the MRI market for prostate cancer. By that I mean, how many MRIs are given each year, and how much the average cost is. That won't give away and trade secrets. Estimates for how much of a market share PGNX might be expect to grab can come later as 1404 gets closer to approval.

    Why would you be concerned about Azedra going generic at this time? What most investors don't appreciate is the revenue stream that may come from approval of PGNX's 1404 imaging agent, with so far appears more accurate than an MRI. Part of the problem is that PGNX management hasn't talked about what kind of market share/sales numbers we can expect after approval.

    If SLXP is purchased, PGNX may well get full rights to Relistor back unless the sale happens after the oral Relistor formulation is approved. The latter would make Relistor a much more valuable property for a large pharma acquirer.

    Selling some shares at $7.80 if you bought in under $4 isn't unexpected. You can lock in profits and not have to pay taxes on it until next year.
