I had been eyeing CLDX for quite some time but the market cap looked insanely high to me. When it dropped under $1 billion I jumped in then a bought a second time when it the stock price fell under $8. I will likely by one more batch before the trials update is given, especially if the price falls again. I do agree that much of the bad news (i.e. continuation rather that stopping early) is already priced it. It used to be stocks ran up before trial data release but in this new market it drops for fear of bad news. I much prefer the price dropping before a data release.
Amazing how many spammers like you arise when the market tanks. You #$%$ are preying on people's fears in the hopes they will panic. I despise vermin like you.
On one hand it was primarily the FDA over-reaction. However, I blame PGNX management for not making the Relistor oral formulation a priority early on.
pedmac, I stayed because Relistor was going to be a winner, then PGNX got screwed because Entereg had heart related side-effects. The incompetence of management in not developing an Oral formulation allowed Movantik to take the lead. I sold off and then bought back in so manged to make a little money while waiting for the Relistor oral formulation to be approved. I am confident PGNX will get a nice bump from the approval of the Relistor oral formulation in both the Relistor sales boost and the $50 million milestone, which shouldn't take much longer.
Striperman, PRO140 was a major reason why I was attracted to PGNX. If that hits gets approved anyone who pushed for dumping it off should get fired. Do you know what kind of deal PGNX has? Are you thinking about throwing some money at CYDY?
No idiot, Relistor will soon be available in an Oral formulation, and unlike Movantik, it won't be taken everyday but rather as needed. By the way, there will be a substantial milestone payment for approval of the Oral Relistor formulation. I hope you choke on your shorts. By the way, you own my my shares, I will buy more from the short-sighted.
Don't be so stupid! The move to the WTC doesn't matter to Wall Street's views.
On target ca_fisherman. Why the hell hasn't management talked about the market size for 1404? Management always seems to be a day late an a dollar short. PGNX could be the most frustrating company I have owned. Oh well, maybe 2016 will finally be the year when PGNX finally starts to make a big move up.
Happy New Year to all, especially to long time longs.
Yes the hedge fund vermin Shrekli was the catalyst to get everyone's attention, but keep in mind that high drug prices in the US has been an issue for some time. Why in the world does the US allow taxpayers to be screwed over in the name of drug company profits? Other governments in other developed countries negotiate lower drug prices but our government bans us from doing the same?
In the past week or so I bought GILD, ABBV, IMGN and MNTA. Today I bought MDVN and am looking at buying more ENTA and SGEN as well.
IPGN, like most biotech companies keeps dropping due to short-sightedness, fear and stupidity by many sheep investors. Buys more shares if you have the cash and I am not talking about just PGNX.
Lots of competitors in the NASH space, several of which have deep pockets and some with more advanced drugs. Not a great place for a little guy like GALT to be in.
The shorts are irrelevant. The news about Opdivo in NSCLC was relevant then and remains relevant now.
