I spoke to them last week about distribution and reimbursement plans in the US. seems they do not have things lined up just yet. it will be a while before we see sales in the US.
Bob, have you ever had an intelligent thought? sorry you probably don't know the word intelligent, it has more than two syllables.
Nope, Medicare does not automatically pay for whatever you choose to buy.
It needs to be an approved (by CMS) product, many times this requires a contract with Medicare. The same applies with other insurances, insurance will pay but you'll pay a large copay if there is no contract. For example, United Healthcare will cover any brand test strip however you'll pay a $70 copay for any brand other than OneTouch (J&J) if you choose OneTouch you pay a $20 copay this is because J&J has a contract with United Healthcare.
This is why Labstyle absolutely must get some contracts in place to make it in the USA.
End of December is common for clearance for a large number of new products, I would not be surprised if it happens in the last week of Dec. or the first two weeks of Jan.
Though I know nothing concerning this particular submission .
cool, I just got a new one so I'll need to wait four years, though that is how long it'll probably take for the FDA to approve.
My contact emailed me that they are working hard at integrating other devices and phones (android based) though it will take more than just developing an android app. They also have a concern that this rumor has some truth to it.
A new development has been released on the road to making the iPhone 7 a completely different experience for Apple users. The next Apple smartphone is reported to be ditching the headphone socket.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
As a current user of a Dexcom and a future user of a Dario, all CGMs currently on the market require calibration every 12 hours, so the BGM market is not disappearing any time soon.
Dexcom is not a competition to this product, since as I'm sure you know that the Dexcom is a CGM, and the Dario is not. I spoke to Dario a while back concerning the ability to upload Dexcom data using their cloud platform. and auto calibration from the iPhone app to the dexcom. they were non-committal other than saying that it is not a bad idea but they have some maturing to do before they can consider the integration of other platforms.
