re: funding - someone out there still believes to plunk down 400k. My guess is they are using it to secure a merger deal but just a guess. They need 20-25 mill to proceed from where they are so small deal wont really help. These deals just take time.
It is my understanding that it is still being used in limited situations. Therefore the maket for this drug is much smaller than previous. One main issue was the negative effect on Renal functions. So far Cenderitide has been shown to have positive effect on Renal. J&J spent a fortune developing this drug so its difficult to say weather or not they be interested in Centeritide. This is a hugh market so I would think if not them, someone would interested in funding the future trials of Cenderitide. Big pharma is running out of drugs so a block buster opportunity has got to be of interest.
