  • Google Adocia Announced Positive Phase IIa Results
    for Ultra-Fast Acting BioChaperone Lispro

Interestingly article make the point that rapid action is important to avoid hyperglycemia and rapid clearance is important to avoid hypoglycemia. This product is nothing more than an incremental improvement over current rapid acting insulin. Afrezza is in a class of its own with its PK/PD profile.

There was no local reaction for BioChaperone Lispro or Humalog and both treatments were
    well tolerated.

 As measured by area-under-the-cure (AUC) for the first 30 minutes, early insulin exposure
was significantly higher for BioChaperone Lispro, with a 170% increase compared to

Looking ahead to 2015... patience is a virtue.

And IMHO I believe that if the shorts really believed afrezza is going to be a flop they would be letting the stock run pre-launch so they could aggressively short upon launch.

Instead they are aggressively shorting relaunch to the tune of 79M shares. This indicates to me that they are afraid of the launch numbers and there may be some aggressive covering with any hint of positive numbers.

Traders should be able to capitalize in a temporary spike to sell and buy back in.

  • Though ending the year on a low note is hard to take we must take the long view and realize that strong gains before launch are really not in the long term interest of share price.

Current market cap will require around 400M in sales to justify our 2.2 billion cap. After 4-6 months of sales, (enough to speculate on trajectory), we can begin to actually determine fair value based on current and projected sales.

A bloated market cap going into launch will only set us up to fail and will kill the momentum of a growth company and knee cap share price by failing to meet market cap expectations.

Long story short, I encourage you to be patient into the early months of launch and look for opportunities to add to your position. Those with patience will see at least a four bagger in 1.5-2 years. (1.75B in sales)

Good luck to all longs and may you have a prosperous 2015.

Yea slugworth I'm thinking Technosphere International C.V. is holding the 175M loan facility (possibly for tax reasons for SNY) through which payments will be made to MannKind Netherlands B.V.? Why is this a secret requiring a CT?

Do we have a three year grace period until SNY acquisition is complete price pending performance over the grace period?

Total speculation to the extreme obviously.

    DEFINITION OF 'HOLDING COMPANY'
A parent corporation, limited liability company or limited partnership that owns enough voting stock in another company to control its policies and management. A holding company exists for the sole purpose of controlling another company, which might also be a corporation, limited partnership or limited liability company, rather than for the purpose of producing its own goods or services. Holding companies also exist for the purpose of owning property such as real estate, patents, trademarks, stocks and other assets. If a business is 100% owned by a holding company, it is called a wholly owned subsidiary.

I do recall a number of CT orders preceding AMLN's purchase. This one is specific to the last 10Q? Always questions with this one!

    500M x .68% profit margin x 0.35% profit sharing x 20 multiple = 5.95

by my thinking he is actually pretty close on his number but I expect sales to far exceed 500M

    4B x 0.68 X 0.35 X20 = 47.6 This is what I expect for the future of MNKD

  • Is it possible that the shorts are actually so confident in the future of mannkind that they short without fear?

Obviously this is counterintuitive but maybe they believe at best they will cover at the bottom and at the worst covering at a temporary high price the success and growth MNKD will still make their short position a winner?

Of course the the more devious plan is for the big HF's to lure in moronic shorts like CH knowing they will be first to cover. Foolish retail shorts believing in the manufactured short thesis will hold and suffer at their own expense limiting the long gains they could have made if they were wise enough to cover.

Let's assume long term this is a 50.00 stock in1-2 years. A short squeeze at worst driving the price to a high of 30.00 a share. Even if they cover at the worst point they can still profit if they cover and hold.

If the bloated short position was so certain of the failure of launch they should be encouraging a run into launch so they can double down and crush us on failure to launch.

Instead the are actively suppressing the stock price now which tells me they are afraid to wait for launch numbers.

  • dtrouble1003 by dtrouble1003 Dec 12, 2014 11:25 AM Flag

As much as its always painful to see the stock price retrace that fact is long term it is better for us to go into launch with our market cap having as little bloating as possible.

This lowers our bar for successful launch and can/will begin to turn the momentum toward the positive, where the market actually believes we can exceed expectations instead of trying to catch up to a over-extended market cap.

I would prefer to see our sales exceed the current market cap in the first three quarters, rather than taking greater than a year to catch up to it.
