Raymond James posted an "outperform" rating on TOO on February 23 indicating stable cash flow, multiple growth projects to continue distribution growth, a supportive parent, and 12-18 month target rate of $24.....they also project a distribution growth to $2.26 for 2015....Personally I felt that oil would bottom around the $47 level and we overshot that to $43....I believe we are bottoming now....any thoughts out there?....

    I believe TGP is a buy...JMHO

Pudentane,....I am using this investment as a retirement vehicle for dividend stream and I have a long term outlook for this.....Teekay is the largest fleet owner to start,... there is an increasing Asian demand for LNG,... they have a strong balance sheet,.... they write up long term contracts of 10 years or more,.... they are increasing their fleet in FSRU units,.... they are adding 6 new icebreaker LNG carriers and there will be strong emerging gas shipping from the US from a long term constant dividend and growth, I think this is a good investment....looking at the charts and where I started buying, I see anything under $39 worth nibbling on.....there were two days where this stock dropped on large volume which lasted a short period of time, one day it drop to the low 35s and another day it dropped to as low as 33.....I picked up more on Oct 14 at 35 just before exdividend.....It looks like I did OK so far...I think there was capitulation on this MLP during those two days and believe that the low price of oil is already baked in the current prices....This MLP does require a form K1 for taxes but I do not see that as an obstacle for a good investment....

  • duckislandcove by duckislandcove Oct 15, 2014 7:00 PM Flag

I have owned this MLP for a couple of years and even traded it....I picked up more around $39 back in the late fall of 2013 and held it for the dividends.....since it went below the $39 price I added more at $35 on Oct 14 just before exdividend day { which was Oct 15 }......Raymond James likes this one alot and TOO aswell....TGP does require a form K1 for taxes but TOO does not require the K1 form which is my larger holding.......that one I have been in since late 2009 and still hold ..I even added more on Oct 14 at $26 just before exdividend date to build up my porfolio....any one like to comment on these?....

Jackmaster, what do you think about TGP?....I picked some up a few of years ago, traded it around $42 and bought more as it went down below $39 and held it for the last year...I picked up more today at $35 { 10-15 -14 } ...This one does require a form K1 but I like the future of LNG going forward and added to my portfolio....I have half as much as TOO since I do not want to get top heavy in one sector....Duckislandcove

I picked up more today at $26....{ 10-15-2014 } .these are fire sale prices...people are just in a panic...that is a great time to buy and the volume over the last couple of days to me is capitulation....good luck to you if you picked up is now my largest holding....I also love the fact that there are no K1 forms to fill out on this MLP...rather rare.....I have been in this MLP since 2009 below $20 per share since an analyst friend of mine told me this was his best pick going forward into my retirement.....I will check with him later and advise on another post.....good luck all....Duckislandcove

Jackmaster,...thanks for the additional info....I saw that it got back to around 30 the other day very briefly and by the time I saw it , it was back up to the 32s.....if it goes back to that number again, I am loading up....Duck

Everything to do with oil has been hammered recently....but it looks like a buying opportunity to me....I picked up some DO yesterday and today I bought back some TOO since it was trading close to it's 200 day moving average which is around 30...I am a long term holder of TOO and sold some off around 37....just looking to get back in and hold for the long term again....Raymond James likes this one and TGP alot and has much positive things to say about both...any thoughts out there to share?.......

Now it is....after it hit an intraday low around $5.85 the other day, there was a great bounce.....that should tell you there is support at the 200 day moving average which is about $6.00....I just got in under 6.10 to add to what I already have .....

For some odd reason I came up with a similar number...mine was $56.91 as a target....I believe some sort of capitulation will occur during the month of April and that will be a time when I get back in...good luck

Will CQH require a K-1 form or is the dividend to be listed on a 1099 only....I heard on a sound bite on CNBC that they will not require the K-1??....can you shed some light on this?....

    Raymond James Target

Thanks...I stand corrected....I own TOO for years and never got a K-1....I just added to my portfolio the TGP and when I got the 1099 from my brokerage house, it listed the TGP the same way it does TOO....I figured it would be the same since they are an overseas operation.....

  • duckislandcove by duckislandcove Feb 20, 2014 1:16 PM Flag

FYI for anyone interested....Raymond James has a standing target price of $45 for the next twelve months and a favorable report....The last time I posted was October 31, 2013 indicating I was buying at under $40 per share and have added to my portfolio when it hit as low as the mid $38s.....TGP recently raised its dividend to $.6925 and the best thing about this investment is NOT having to file the form receive your info on the 1099 from your broker and you will see your return of capital which is a lot easier to manage than the form K....good luck to long investors on TGP....

    3 m stock offering

Read my last post regarding Raymond James....since the announcement they raised their target from $45 to $47, believe an increase in the dividend by $.10 possibly by the end of this year and forecasting a $.20 increase for next year sometime.....the price drop reflected a negative article by Motley Fool and a short selling to push this MLP down....I was lucky and purchased under the $40 price and now up 5% in a couple of days...I have gotten a couple of negative comments but I don't what the ignorant have to say.....One of the nice aspects of this MLP is not having do a schedule K for tax purposes since they are located outside the US and do not transport intrastate....I have a long term view on this investment....

  • duckislandcove by duckislandcove Oct 28, 2013 7:24 PM Flag

I have been following this MLP for some time and looking to get in under $40.00 and seemed to luck out today...Raymond James made a report at the end of September after the lastest announcement of additional units at $42.62 to acquire another vessel ...they raised their target price from $45 to $47 and believe this new vessel will add to the distribution by 1% to 5%....they believe there may be an increase of .10 to $2.80 before the end of the year and a distribution target of $3.00 per for 2014.....I believe the sell off today was partly because of a negative article by Motley Fool on October 27...the sell off started Friday and I believe it will bottom out by tomorrow October 30.....I am just posting this for those who are serious investors...I also have a sizeable stake in TOO which I have held for years....I think this is a buying opportunity for TGP but that is just may humble opinion....good luck to all.....

    Big price movement...for what?

    by fauxcow Jan 26, 2013 7:32 PM

Raymond James recently downgraded to outperform from strong buy a few days ago....their original target price was $32, they have changed that to $30 but Goldman still has a $34 price target....There was a large purchase most likely by a hedge fund a short while ago which accounted for the steep pop in price ....

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • duckislandcove by duckislandcove Sep 7, 2012 2:21 PM Flag

FYI for all....Raymond James did a report back on August 13 raising their target price to $33....they cite visible dropdowns to drive DCF growth with the Voyageur Spirit going on line in mid 4Q, followed by the Tiro &Sidon an FPSO vessel in early 2013....They also went on to say that 4 new shuttle tanker newbuilds will be coming on line as well. The projected dividend to $2.19 for 2013 and their projections in the past have been acurate.....I have been a holder since 2008 and added more over the last couple of years....

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    RQI forecast

    by duckislandcove Jan 12, 2012 4:19 PM
duckislandcove duckislandcove Jan 19, 2012 11:54 AM Flag

I hope for all of us that my forecast remains on target....I was a couple weeks late in calling my target number back in October but my most recent prediction appears to be on target. Need to see if this fund breaks the 9.20 level with better than average volume which is about 260,000 shares daily and we will see this thing run up to the 10s quickly..the next target would be to break with higher volume the 10.50s level...after that it would be all clear to go up to the 12s before there is a correction back to the low 10s or high 9s..the REITS that this fund is invested in are already getting some increases in rents which will probably amount to increasing the dividend later this year or getting capital gains at the end of 2012...I hope the other person took my advice to buy when this thing was in the low 7s back in October 2011...he would then be sitting on nice capital gain while selling the other share he owned for a tax writeoff..

  • duckislandcove by duckislandcove Jan 12, 2012 4:19 PM Flag

On a previous post by Roadhorse back in October' 11, I recommended that the person by the RQI then at the mid $7s and sell the other portion he had purchased at the $15 level after the 31 day rule...I projected RQI would hit $9 by the end of December 11 but I was off by two weeks and 4 cents since it hit up to $8.96 January 11...Looking at technicals and charts now, I see increased volume has slowly been melting this fund up and I believe that we will hit the $9.20s level within a couple of weeks....if their is up volume breaking thru that $9.20 area, we will definetly go up to the $10.29 in a very short time....if low volume brings us to the $9.20 level, we will correct back down to the low $8s....FYI for those who might want to trade this fund.....any opinions?
