If Obamacare is so bad how did it become law. OMG it was voted on and approved by the House and Senate...Seems to me that is called Democracy....call me crazy......If it is hated it can be voted out in a democratic way...not by trying not to fund it by a few radical few..... Democracy works. ....
The biggest redistribution of wealth is how much taxes the Feds take from each state and how much they return to that state. If you were to look it up, you would find out the northeast states like NY pay a dollar and get back .76 and states like Kentucky pay a dollar and get back 1.46 that redistribution...
Of course not.....just like when Cruz and Paul...tried to ignore the law by trying to not fund obamacare when as i am sure you know both the house and senate passed this as law. Sitting here and hoping Republicans have enough balls to nominate Christie who I believe can win the election
You are right about the Founding Fathers but did you know.........since they were wealthy and as close to aristocracy as their was in the US.....they paid for libraries.......they paid for hospitals......they thought it was their duty and responsibility to due so.....
sometimes you need to think......if illegals go to a hospital....they are taken care of and do not pay......who pays for that.....you and me ...by increasing the cost of my health insurance .....by increasing the cost of aspirins the hospital provides me while i am there.....eventually we all pay....
guess you cant remember as far back as 2008 when the economy was in freefall down,......stock market crashing down.....unemployment increasing.......your 401k tanking...you should thank Obama for stopping the downward trend......
good to see you are happy coming in second, no matter what reason you or the press gives. Me I want a winner for President this year. A person who can get votes across all party lines, races, ages etc. Chris Christie of NJ, and do not saddle him with Tea Party VP candidate. If McCain (Palin) and Romney(Ryan) ran without extreme Tea Party VP choices they might have won.
As in 2010, when the voters gave birth to the Tea Party in 2014 they killed it. Right or left wingers in 4 short years we have seen the demise of this party. If the Republicans want to win, a candidate like Chris Christy is the answer. A candidate who can cross all party lines, races, ages etc. Worried about our budget deficits, it has been estimated the Iraq and Afgan wars has cost us 6 trillion dollars from 2003-2010. I believe the Afgan war was required until we got Bin Laden.
What i do not understand is how countries like denmark, sweden, finland, switzerland etc. can you free health care and in some cases free schooling including college and yearly have the happiest people living in that country. In the states we can not provide that, guess they are smarter than us. Please explain how this happens. Thanks
If you google the happiest countries in the world you will find that Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Netherlands and Sweden people are the happiest. The happiest North American country is Canada. Do you know what they all have in common? Free healthcare and in the case of Denmark, free schooling including college. Something to think about.
How can either of you say doctors, hospitals and pharmacies will be paid less. Have either of you gone to any of these currently? Everything is expensive because if any of the above increase their charges the insurance company increases their reimbursement somewhat and then increases the cost to us for medical insurance. Have you ever known a insurance company to go out of business because they lost money on their medical insurance division?
Seems like our President has more balls than Bush when it comes to using drone attacks. It takes no guts to torture a prisoner
First thing that has to be done at all government levels, federal, state and local is to convert pensions plans from defined benefit ( I average $100 salary per yr last three years, retire and receive a $100 per year) to defined contribution ( I make a tax deductible contribution and part or non can be matched by employer) most for profit companies converted years ago.
Second, lets distribute the amount of federal taxes ( payroll, income, ss etc.) sent to the federal government back to the states equally. If you Google The Economist a listing of each state is shown showing the amount the state sent and the amount the Federal govt spent on the state. Below are some interesting states:
New Jersey 57% of what was sent was returned to the state
New York 71%
Is it possible the Tea Party did not want Obamacare because it would benefit the larger populated states more and even the playing field a little.
Was watching Anthony Bourdain's show this weekend, where he showcased a restaurant in Denmark. As an aside he mentioned that Denmark's population was the happiest in the world. I Googled this and found according to the Discovery Channel report that Denmark is No. 1 and according to Forbes report it is No 2 with Norway as number 1. Seems as both countries have free health care and education including college, could it be the US is spending too much money on defense or not taxing enough?
for an obama nation.....all public charities are obligated to make their tax returns available upon request....so I guess your comment under National Journal: David Koch is totally wrong like most of your thinking....while I am at it think about this....if no Obamacare and I go to the hospital with no insurance and they have to treat me who pays for that.....you and me by increased health insurance premiums, increased doctor fees and increase hospital charges.....
All the house wants...........................fine if that is the case.............extend sign up by 180 days but fund it today...........this bill was passed in 2009
Never thought of what you said but if that is the case Obama smarter than the Tea Party Cruz and Paul factions, shut the government and blame them. I am sure you know, by funding the National Parks and others items one by one the Tea Party is in effect trying to fund everything but Obamacare, he is too smart for that also.
Talk about arrogance, the Affordable Care Act was passed in 2009 by both the House and Senate and now the Tea Party members want to unilaterally change written law which is not there job under the Constitution.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, the Tea Party doesn't believe in the Constitution.
First, by redistribution of wealth do you include states like New York which receive 78% of their total tax dollar back in benefits from the Federal govenment where Kentucy receives 138%, Second, all politicians both right and left wing from federal government, state and local are all full of s...t. when they voice their concern about the federal deficit and balancing the budget. Do what private business did years ago when 401K's were introduced, eliminate defined benefit plans and change them to defined contribution plans (401K's) would save each layer of government millions of dollars. Ask R Paul, T Cruz, N Pelosi and J Biden to make this change it is so obvious.
