What if those Germans had had the moral courage not to obey what were clearly immoral orders. What if the Vietnam soldiers had done the same? No Patriots, no war.

  • if were going to make dramatic cuts to unemployment benefits, food stamps and medicare maybe the GOP is right and we should eliminate social security. I like there proposal that you can't get more out of social security then you put in. Of course we would all feel bad for deadpainting when they wheel him out of the nursing home and let me sleep under a bridge but at least he wouldn't be a leech on America anymore.

Well there is no recession except in the uneducated tea billie land. Turns out you need an education to get a job. Tea billies are still #$%$ about that.

How did that weak economy work out in the last Presidential Election Goober? Turns out crazy only appeals to about 10% of the voters.

  • Like a lot of gun nuts he used his gun to kill someone he loved,

  • Last year one of my sons in Prep school went on a school trip to the beach on an island off of Belize. They helped out a little building a school when they weren't surfing and snorkeling. Turns out the $2,300 it cost is an entire tax right off, yeah it is a charity. LOL is it any wonder us rich folks can avoid most taxes. Now cut the capital gains tax rate tea billies cause I've got a lot of trapped unrecognized capital gains. If you cut them to zero I can sell and redeploy my capital so it can trickle down on you. LOL

  • Pope Francis is on record as an anti-capitalist. He’s anti-inequality, wants more government policies favoring the poor, at a time when GOP budget czar Paul Ryan just keeps attacking the poor. The pontiff is against capitalism’s failed trickle-down theories. Against today’s global obsession with materialism, with growth economics and our excessive consumerism. He criticized capitalism’s “new and ruthless idolatry of money.” He also took the media to task as misguided in playing up a “two-point stock-market loss” while ignoring such news events as when “an elderly homeless person dies of exposure.”

Technology didn’t even escape the pope’s attack in his “Apostolic Exhortation.” Silicon Valley must have felt the sting when Francis blasted it for giving priority “to the outward, the immediate, the visible, the quick, the superficial and the provisional,” where “what is real gives way to appearances” and technology drives the “deterioration of cultural roots” in nations that are “economically advanced but ethically debilitated.”

Small wonder that conservatives like Paul Ryan, Bill O’Reilly, Chris Christy and Rush Limbaugh hate what he stands for ... because Pope Francis is driving a stake directly into the heart of the GOP’s capitalist theology. Remember, Francis delivered the ultimate pro-socialist attack on today’s Ayn Rand–Paul Ryan brand of conservatism: “Not to share one’s wealth with the poor is to steal from them.”

That puts Francis and his “officer corps” of 200 cardinals, 5,000 bishops, 450,000 priests and 1.2 billion Catholics worldwide — 78 million of them Americans — on a direct collision course with the GOP’s ultraconservative anti-poor budgets.

It's only NC tea billies that will die, no big deal, as long as the #$%$ brothers can make a few more million. LOL funny how the stupid tea billies constantly vote against their own best interest. But that's moronic for you.

July 2013 Funny how the tea billies blame Obama for what they do, is there anyone more stupid then a tea billie?
House lawmakers debated NASA's 2014 budget today (July 18) during a meeting that saw stark partisan divisions over proposed funding cuts for the agency's science and space exploration programs.

A NASA authorization bill drafted by the Republican majority of the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology proposes to slash NASA's funding to $16.6 billion for 2014 — $300 million less than it received in 2013, and $1.1 billion less than President Obama requested for NASA in 2014. The bill — which authorizes spending levels but provides no actual funding — would roll back NASA’s funding to a level $1.2 billion less than its 2012 budget.

Democratic members of the committee spoke strongly against the proposed cuts,

It's kind of funny how the religious right doesn't follow Christ teachings at all. LOL Let's see Christ supporting the death penalty? Christ supporting war and nuclear weapons? Christ supporting stand your ground? Christ supporting starving little babies to give tax cuts to billionaires? Christ supporting outright racism? Christ supporting destroying the environment (and millions of lives) for personal financial gain?

    The religious right is neither.

The fact is the GOP is split, it is a house divided. The NY financial conservatives can't stand the southern evangelical Taliban policies and the tea billie Taliban can't stand the mainstream GOP. As Twain said "History doesn't repeat but it does rhyme. This is the end of the Wig party once again. Google it and read tea billies.

Let's see Sarah Palin, took 6 years to graduate from a non-accredited community college with a degree in journalism. Obama graduated from Columbia undergraduate, Harvard Law School Magna Cum Laude (top 10% of his class) was described by the preeminent Constitutional scholar L. Tribe as the brightest student he ever taught.

You know in the real world,

Tea billies think if you scream louder and more often it makes it right.

LOL Obama has made some verbal gaffs, everyone has. Sarah on the other hand is a moron that not only makes verbal gaffs she is a mental midget that lacks such a grasp of reality she believed Africa was a country, Paul Revere rode to warn the British and can't even name one newspaper in the United States.

Defending Sarah Palin's intelligence proves you are a moron, res ispa loquitur.

  • Vietnam News reports that Vietnam’s Defence Ministry has deployed 17 aircraft and 35 ships of various types from the Air and Air Defence Force, the Navy, the Maritime Police and the Border Guard in the search for debris from the missing Malaysian passenger jet.

The jet carrying 239 people went missing on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8.

According to Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC), a Malaysian Airlines passenger Boeing 777-200 left Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 16:42 UTC on March 7 (23:42 Vietnam time), noted the English language daily newspaper.

    More from Vietnam News:

At 17:21 UTC (00:21 on March 8 Vietnam time), the plane lost contact with the Subang Air Traffic Control at 06 o 56′N – 103 o 35′E over Malaysian waters, 120 nautical miles southwest of Vietnam’s Ca Mau cape and 25 nautical miles south of the Vietnam-Malaysia overlapping sea borderline.

Viking Air has also issued a news release:

Initial news reports from Vietnam indicate that the amphibious equipped Viking-manufactured Twin Otter Series 400 operated by the Vietnam Navy spotted what appeared to be aircraft debris off the coast of Vietnam during the on-going search mission for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 aircraft.

The Viking Series 400 Twin Otter was selected by the Vietnam Navy for its ability to perform a multitude of roles, including maritime search and rescue.

The Navy underwent flight training at Victoria International Airport through Viking’s sister company, Pacific Sky Aviation, with the program specifically designed to provide the Navy with the capabilities to conduct these types of missions, including the unique ability to land the aircraft on location at sea if required.

Yeah Al the tea billies have a cartoonish impression of the world, it isn't real world thinking

Former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates on Sunday defended the White House against charges that they did not act quickly enough to protect the Americans killed in the Benghazi attacks.

Gates, who served in the administrations of both Presidents George W. Bush’s and Obama said that some critics who said that military force could have saved lives had a “cartoonish” view of U.S. military capabilities.

“To send some small number of special forces or other troops in without knowing what the environment is, without knowing what the threat is, without having any intelligence in terms of what is actually going on on the ground, I think, would have been very dangerous,” said Gates in an interview aired on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
“Personally, I would not have approved that because we just don#$%$ sort of a cartoonish impression of military capabilities and military forces,” he continued. “The one thing that our forces are noted for is planning and preparation before we send people in harm's way. And there just wasn't time to do that.”

  • ignore is such a great feature, you can make a moron waste his time and not even bother to read his stupidity. LOL

There are a few differences between Bush and Obama though.

For the tea billies Bush is white and Obama is black.

For the people living in the real world, Bush was a drunk who started 2 needless wars because he (like most tea billies) suffered from severe (but justified) inferiority complex and was willing to send a million people to their death to prove he wasn't a weakling.
Obama on the other hand is an adult dealing with complex issues very successfully, without sending anyone to their death or wasting 8 trillion dollars of taxpayers money.

You know in the real world, the one they don't show on FAUX news.

    CPAC participant Scott Terry
NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland — A panel at the Conservative Political Action Committee on Republican minority outreach exploded into controversy on Friday afternoon, after an audience member defended slavery as good for African-Americans.
The exchange occurred after an audience member from North Carolina, 30-year-old Scott Terry, asked whether Republicans could endorse races remaining separate but equal. After the presenter, K. Carl Smith of Frederick Douglass Republicans, answered by referencing a letter by Frederick Douglass forgiving his former master, the audience member said “For what? For feeding him and housing him?” Several people in the audience cheered and applauded Terry’s outburst.
After the exchange, Terry muttered under his breath, “why can’t we just have segregation?” noting the Constitution’s protections for freedom of association. Watch it:

ThinkProgress spoke with Terry, who sported a Rick Santorum sticker and attended CPAC with a friend who wore a Confederate Flag-emblazoned t-shirt, about his views after the panel. Terry maintained that white people have been “systematically disenfranchised” by federal legislation.
When asked by ThinkProgress if he’d accept a society where African-Americans were permanently subservient to whites, he said “I’d be fine with that.” He also claimed that African-Americans “should be allowed to vote in Africa,” and that “all the Tea Parties” were concerned with the same racial problems that he was.
At one point, a woman challenged him on the Republican Party’s roots, to which Terry responded, “I didn’t know the legacy of the Republican Party included women correcting men in public.”
He claimed to be a direct descendent of Confederate President Jefferson Davis.
The panel continued to be racked in controversy, as an African-Ame
