"Nothing in the law states the cash belongs to anyone?" Yes is does, the bond holders are first and stockholders are last in line. And no I won't give you a link, look it up yourself.
I really don't have to prove anything and even if I did the longs here would choose to ignore the obvious. They were actively seeking a buyer for a year or more, they than had an auction and ended up with one bid. They are now finalising what is being sold. What more do you need? This additional 15 million dollar "asset" is hardly something that would have attracted more bidders in a 400+ million dollar sale. Can I prove it? No.
It's not news that the company and its assets were for sale. They have simply now come to agreement on additional, minor, assets.
More fuel for the conspiracy theory folks. Do you really think this additional "asset" would have spurred more bidding. This is just a minor throw in of a marginal and questionable asset for chump change.
There just picking up the crumbs now for extra chump change. Those additional assets were going to go to the creditors anyway so shareholders have no beef. Kind of like when someone buys your house and at the last minute decides to but the piano which you didn't want the hassle of moving anyway.
I'll answer why I care only if you will promise never to ask that same question again. It seems to be your response to everything. If you have a contrarian opinion or rebuttal than share it.
Two problems, first of all the company said the shares will be canceled at the end of the restructuring process.
Secondly, if by some miracle the shares aren't canceled there is no money to maintain what little would be left of the company. Who is going to manage it, who is going to pay the rent, where is there hope of any financing or income? The pennys a share being offered since the bombshell was dropped was a gift for anyone smart enough to take them. This is now a game of musical chairs and the last one standing will be left with nothing but a tax write off.
So after they finish with the Sony hacking case, the recent Billion dollar theft from Banks hacking case, the Chinese and Russian Government approved hacking of multiple businesses, and the multitude of Terrorists hacking into Government computers they will be coming after flvbguy for allegedly hacking into your Yahoo account? Let us all know how that turns out.
The only thing to learn from tfs9e's post is that large price increases lead to know it alls showing up and giving advice.
So all they need to do is raise a billion or so dollars to complete testing and hope for approval and than bring to market in 5 or so years. Any thoughts on where the financing will come from? Is it possible D3263 was excluded from the sale because they didn't want it? I suspect they could have asked for or demanded it be included if they wanted it.
We have now learned that the conspiracy has continued and all companies were supposed to abstain from the auction to keep this valuable drug off the market but one company didn't get the memo,
How do you spin selling their only approved drug and nearly all of their assets as a positive? You guys must applaud a poke in the eye.
Your really hung up on these NOL's. With the time you spent posting your hopes concerning NOL's over the past week you could have done a very simple google search and learned some basics.
You are correct, the bond market is just another indicator of the value, or lack thereof. If you have been following the posts here you already know you will not get a logical explanation from the longs. They will likely tell you the bond market is also rigged and that some mysterious force is manipulating the stock.
