analyst - howard weil-- staeted coverage with sector perform rating. I already own shares & will try to get my hands on the report.
thank you. my old memory wprks to some extent. Since am holding the callable pfd c shares I will have a decision to make in '15 ( callable 1/16) If for some reason the distribution is cut on the common -- look for it to tank as it did previously a few years back.
has anyone received a statement re: total paid as taxable and as return of capital? Seems to me that 2012 distriburions were largely a return of capital--- co. website shows nothing on this. I have not received amended 1099 yet.
barrons article a month back stated undervalued vs peers by about 10%. Up how much in past 2 weeks-- maybe 7%--- leaving something more. Only downside would be rising rates.
will certainly be interesting. Who in right mind would be short thi, w/o hedge? IMHO will begin to see short position decline. Pre mkt is just what it sez--- we will see. gltl
that all depends where long term interest (10 yr) rates are. Too bad pfd stocks & reits are perceived as bonds & holders are punished for duration risk. I recently bought this thinking the combination with cole could provide some synergies, and opportunity for growth of EPSand divvy.
plse post a summary. barrons had a feature article a few weeks back stating the pps could rise dramatically due to growth & strong margins. As a subscriber, I wonder why they discount the subscription by 50%? Also, the parent could buy the remainder of the stock they don't own at less than fair mkt valud.
perhaps the converts recently issued are the long play? can't find evidence they are trading, however; called co ir with questions & did not receive a reply. Barrons article implies pps of common to be about 10% undervakued to peers -- under the AFFO metric. made initial purchase recently. we will see. ( reits out of favor)
get a life. ORIG is owned over 50% by drys. Take a look at the 2014 projected earnings; take a guess on the cash dividend which will be thrown off by ORIG and why don't you keep shoeting?
chicken was poor choice of description; have been investing/ speculating for decades. Learned long ago there is no shame in taking a profit. As for my hokds of kerx: took cost out of initial position a while back; have Jan call write & put buy in play. Most likely I grt exercised on the call for q 4 bagger return. Will then re evaluate whether I want back in-- most kikely with long dated out of the money calls. good luck!
