7/21/14 5.21 shares outstanding as per yahoo.

    7/22/14 Managements latest refi./ sale
1] debenture can convert to 5.8 m shares, collects 4% and gets patents [ intellectual property ] if foreclosed, can't wait to see wording/conditions.
    2] pref.shares can convert to 4.8 m shares.
    3] 11.2 m shares via warrants issued. 5m @ $2.5ish in 18months, 6.1m @$2.4ish in 5 years
4] total shares in play 21 million.
    5] 21/5 or 4/1 warrants worthless 10/5 or 2/1
6] did I read the release correctly?

No revenues to speak of till insurance reimbursement [ 2-3 years out as per management ]. Someone, wink, wink, if you consider past fees and earned interest, future interest, profit from past shorting and warrant sales, etc. etc. will wind up with patents [ IP ] etcetera , at virtually no cost within a few years. Anyone know of a catalyst that presents a brighter outcome? As Bob said a few years back " When you ain't got nothing you got nothing to lose ". It looks to me that management took it literally ...................................................

    7/22 news massive dilution
    very interesting............

  • lately that would cause this stock to act this way? The CEO was suppose to talk somewhere. Any input? Low volume, tightly held, big money investor, no news, etc etc... I thought it should have held $10 - $11 ps till they reported earning. Could be someone trying to shake weak hands going into CC.

Something like that. Glad your amused though......
Interesting that yahoos stats show the numbers I used [ major holders ] and they all seem to have been adjusted for split, wouldn't be first time yahoo screw up. I had some time and was thinking about how William Durant got GM back from the Du Ponts et al almost a century ago.

this company shouldn't be trading with a market cap equal to its enterprise value? It has earnings/revenue , first to market product, growing business field, good management, etcetera. Realistic near term value $.60 - $.80 a share ?

  • I had a funny thought, [ brilliant if true ] , since his departure he has been shorting MELA and is about to close position and take control of company when the price hits about $1. - $1.25 a share..
    I KNOW, I KNOW.............................

  • 52% of shares held by insiders, 13% of shares held by institutions, 23% sold short. Throw in a billionaire buying stock daily and products/devices due for acceptance/rejection over the next year or two and this is setting up for one wild implosion/explosion. GLTA

  • OUTSTANDING 5.2 MILLION shares. Management still looking out for shareholders ?.............Anyone care to guess what MELA will post in revenue for quarter ? Cash is almost nil, if no sales or carryover deferred revenue doesn't surprise how much stock will they throw at market ? They will need to raise at least $10 million or 80+% of market cap.? How much time does that buy ? Does anyone see any appreciable revenue in the next year or so ? A lot of questions and still no answers ..................

sorry bout that should be $2.60...................bad morning.................

  • $2.26. where does it close today ? Started up 11% within 10 minutes down 11%. With announcement of finally applying for reimbursement insurance coding one would like to believe something positive. Managements timing unfortunately comes late in the game, I have seen stranger things.

enough to regain control of the patents ?

  • dwoods4q dwoods4q Jul 9, 2014 11:37 AM Flag

2005 $7.5ps thru 7/2013 $1.01 ps. VS 7/2013 $1.01ps thru 7/9/14 $.27ps . %wise its close another few pennies and its a dead far as communicating goes please explain position based on the last year. He was put in by the finance people who are the only group to benefit since his arrival. Shareholder value cut 75%, financiers paid $millions$ in fees, not a bad first year, rite?
Where's the plan to raise money to pay bills in the coming quarters, etcetera, etcetera, ?" A Communication Breakdown" as the boys from England said a few years back IMO.

  • $14 million market value for a first to market, patented, FDA approved medical device for early detection of skin cancer. [ shouldn't the patent alone be worth $50-100 million ? ]
Kudos to management for a great job.
    How to become a $ millionaire $, invest a $ billion $ with MELA management .

I understand your point and opinion but what was the pre split adjusted price of AIG and CITI a couple years back? Enjoy your excursion I trust the weather out on the west coast is better than the east.

  • It came to me last night that by the close of business today that MELA could be had for less than $7 million, based on a market cap of less than $14 million. Something/someone will buy control of company, scale a $19.99 version for home use, devise will warn individual to seek professional care if melanoma detected, total disclaimer against liability yet proven devise with FDA backing for professionals. Sales of 1 million in 1 year = $13 million less expense. A quick double and one still controls patents, funded insurance approvals, raised stock price, generated revenue, created public awareness , etc . etc, et ,........

Just one of thousands of ways management has blown ways of revenue generation over the years. I know, I know, I know but if you have followed this company and do not have a sense of humor you would have sued management or slit your wrists by now........

Updated Investor Presentation on MELA web site

    by b767cpt1 Jul 1, 2014 12:22 PM
    dwoods4q dwoods4q Jul 2, 2014 3:27 PM Flag

I think the reason that it was put on the web site and not released thru normal PR channels is the following, It begs the question " where will MELA get the funds to cover the next 8 quarters, 2 years till revenues even start to become possible" ? Dilution, buyout, merger ,takeout , BK, ETC ????
Thx for the heads up, I check the site as well as SEC filings , ETC from time to time, to see if management can pull this off. It's the equivalent of watching a slowly evolving car wreck on a freeway. One keeps hoping everyone walks away, while the carnage keeps accumulating.............................
I admit that I find the message board for MELA to be most entertaining at times and visit on slow or empty parts of the day. As I said watching/following MELA is a case study in managements ineptitude.

I notice that for the last couple of weeks that MELA stock ps price seems to jump 2-6% in early trading and then proceeds to sell off and settle flat to down . Shorts trading around their position ?

Todays question " Do we hear anything from management prior to end of quarter CC ?
