    insanely under priced IPO

To be honest I think the company will be bought out before my target is reached. I figure the capitalization should be around $1 to $1.5 billion by 2017, or roughly $50 to $75 per share. Just my opinion

I think that it was a combination of things. First off Dow Chemical owns a major stake, it was a spin off years back. Pfenex used to be a contract manufacturer and in essence became it's own client. They now develop their own products yet have nothing on the market. This change in direction may be misunderstood, and undervalued since they have not proved themselves as self developers. Typically these type of spin offs come out at low valuations. Therefore the low interest and low demand for the offering. Once the Hospiria deal was announced everything changed. Their is a PRO article on Seeking Alpha that will be out, I believe on Monday, going into more detail.

they will have $100 million in cash after deal Hospira closes. The joint ventures with 6 other products are profit share (49% to Pfenex). The vaccine products are funded by the government and NOT subject to FDA approval because of the recent law on stockpiling vaccines against terrorism. Did I mention that Pfenex owns the vaccines outright. Look at the website on the partners webpage, it is the who's who of pharma. This stock is going to rocket in my opinion. Did you know that they were suggesting an IPO price of around $13 and it came out at $6
Still very undervalued by a long shoot in my analysis.
