Hey melt_those. vcsy is NOT only a software company. They also have fiber-optic plans. Narby and I weren't discussing "software" in this thread, so my background in that area is irrelevant. We were discussing optics and I have 40+ years experience in optical engineering as well as a Ph.D. in physics. So I'm qualified to put in my two cents imo.
So, do you have any appropriate technical point you wish to make relevant to the discussion here.... or are you just going to snipe. BTW, what is your technical background?
Narby. You might like vcsy-chat. Perhaps not.. There's very little in the way of dissenting opinions imo. zit, mirror, al , stockwabbit, rheemer and the other "bashers" are not allowed. So there won't be any Punch and Judy shows. portuno doesn't seem to post although he's a member. I'm a member but probably not for long. Some members are already calling for my removal because they don't like my strong FO views. At least everyone there is fairly polite. I know I've been on my best behavior too.
As for RB, It seems there was a concerted effort on the part of longs to abandon that board, leaving only the skeptics and just a few longs. Actually nowadays, even the skeptics are longs, both holding some shares long term and flipping other shares short term. The skeptics are just not willing to accept portuno's koolaid. I think all have been impressed with vcsy's verifiable positive developments over the last year or so--- the successful re-exam of 744 and 629 and the very positive signs coming from the San Francisco and Texas lawsuits. vcsy is a stock worth holding until a settlement or trial is concluded imo.
Good luck with your investments!
What is your background? Software? It doesn't appear to be physics or engineering because you seem to be easily impressed by this combination of well known science facts interspersed with gobbledygook. I know you are intelligent.
" Therefore, any source of electromagnetic radiation, such as human voices, animal or insect noises, friction noises (such as automobile tires on ground), industrial non-audible noises from motors, engines, classrooms, auditoriums, musical instruments, orchestral concerts, ocean waves, and direct/indirect solar radiation, is a potential source of radiant energy."
This sentence is where Cruz reveals that he mistakenly believes sound waves are electromagnetic. Even a high school physics students knows the difference between sound waves and electromagnetic.
"audible (long) and non-audible (short) electromagnetic waves,"
He confirms his belief by calling long wave electromagnetic waves "audible". Incredible.
BTW, why aren't you posting over on RB or vcsy-chat? I think you'd be very welcomed there. I personally prefer to not post on this board but am here because you posed questions to me.
I tend to accept the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics.
"The Copenhagen interpretation is one of the earliest and most commonly taught interpretations of quantum mechanics. It holds that quantum mechanics does not yield a description of an objective reality but deals only with probabilities of observing, or measuring, various aspects of energy quanta, entities that fit neither the classical idea of particles nor the classical idea of waves"
As for Cruz's latest patent ,it's a joke.... so I'm still laughing. It doesn't matter to me that the uspto granted it. Nobody will pat to license it imo. The first paragraph starting with
"As a photon is absorbed by an electron, the electron transits to a lower energy level, and a new photon is released. This scattering of light could lead the electron to travel backwards in time in order to absorb a photon. A photon, while being generated by a differentiating electron, can also travel backwards in time, changing particle charge and generating an anti-particle. These particles while travelling backwards in time can also collide. When a particle and an anti-particle collide they annihilate each other: however, depending on the amplitude and frequency more than one photon can be released from the particle-anti-particle collision. This phenomenon, according to quantum electrodynamics, illustrates an increase of light intensity and a release of energy that feeds back into the overall electromagnetic wave....."
is all NONSENSE. You're correct that Cruz is viewing through a different lens. Yeah, his view is pseudo-scientific. and gobbledygook. He can't even get the correct units of energy , power and energy density correct. His estimates of how much acoustic energy required to power a house for an hour is off by at least a million. He's wrong, wrong, wrong and on so many levels.
"Easy_money006 you have for years lacked acceptance of quantum theory in your understanding of potential in optics. What do think of this patent Easy? Patent number 8,426,790 by Cruuz and do you see it relevant to the patent assigned to Vertical. " narby
narby, When did I say I didn't accept quantum theory in optics? I have several patents in the field of lasers and the theory of lasers is all quantum. Why do you just make up statements like I don't accept quantum theory? Stop attempting to put words in my mouth.
Also, I already posted my opinion of 8,426,790 on the google sc. optics discussion group (see my link on RB or google "is this fiber-optic imaging patent a joke?"). As I said there, the patent is mostly nonsense. Also,
"There are several amusing examples of gobbledegook ..... There's mention of annihilating anti-particles and statements seemingly implying that acoustic energy is a form of electromagnetic energy. I especially like the part where the 'inventor' suggests collecting insect noise to power residential electrical needs. His numerical units are wrong (watts for energy, etc.) as well as most of the energy estimates he makes ("one person shouting for an hour would feed one home for one hour: 3×10-2 Watts×1×106=30,000 W")."
The latest Cruz patent is relevant to the fo patent only in the fact that the inventor once again shows he doesn't know what he's talking about. One of the google optics group posters writes about 8,426,790:
"This wouldn't even pass a high school physics class."
So the patent is worthless just like the fo patent. Cruz can laugh all he wants... he's put another one over on the patent office but I suspect vcsy won't be too eager to license this one. So what will Cruz have in the end? Just the attorney's bill for shepherding the patent through the uspto.
