Son is known to hold his cards close to his chest so maybe he is waiting to see what the right Direction would be.
In the U.S., the Federal Communications Commission last year extended net neutrality rules to wireless networks for the first time. Internet service providers are challenging the FCC’s rules in federal court. A court decision is expected in April.

The poster with a very Dim Brain... Pull it out where the Sun don't Shine and get with the Program
I didn't think Sprint was up for sale and should Son change his mind our Gov. will never approve China and they prove that fact when they don't even want U.S. carriers to use their equipment .
So in real live I strongly feel that can not happen put since you try to B.S. people on this board I can understand why you leave out the important facts.

Fact is that due to closing of other areas they take a hit on and can't make profits as stated or is it that the Subs have just left or maybe even moved over to another Sprint Pre Paid carrier that would show up a loss to Sprint but up the Subs that Boost or Virgin Mobile has . Oh let's not forget all them other carriers Sprint has agreements with that brings in cash for the use of Sprints network.. may not be as much as if it was a Sprint Sub but the cash still rolls back to Sprint

Nobody can promise a particular down load speed as time of day and location has a major effect on any carries system .. what part of cell phones and devices don't you understand

  • easymoney216 by easymoney216 Feb 5, 2016 8:08 PM Flag

My opinion we just may see three major players joining hands once again .
Sprint / Google and Comcast where major investors in Clearwire useing the 2.5 GHz. Problem back then there was not enough products on the market that had chips installed but look now over the pat 3 years or so most all makers of phones and devices are able to use it and the reason being so they can enter more markets in other parts of the Globe .. Apple Proved that the U.S market is drying up and moved on to other countries with 2.5 GHz

Why is Son here in the U.S. ? same reason to increase $$$$$$$$$ by putting 2.5 GHz to work here. My guess is he will make it happen how soon that i don't know but he didn't make Billions failing in life..I may want to include Sprints CEO on that statement also..

    Question

$9% maybe but I am not so Sure Son whats anyone else to have control. Also we are talking two different networks again and you know what trouble that got sprint into in the past.
My guess it maybe a Spectrum sharing Deal with a much larger player or two and a tie up with Cable or Sat. company or maybe both. Son has shown he is not afraid of Partnerships or Spectrum sharing but I am not so sure he will include any competitor such as TMUS unless the network would be ready for just a flip of the switch .

Major point nobody wants to admit to is Son has made 2.5 GHz into a great network and it is used in many other countries around the Globe .The tract record is there just need the time to put it in gear in the U.S..

Remeber the 1st Asian car that hit the U.S. and all the bad talk about them ? Drive down the road now and see how the U.S is out numbered..

Verizon will not cut cost until the day they have to to retain customers... You know kind of like these $40,000 pick up trucks they are selling every day that really don't cost much more to make as a average car.
The average American is going to pay to play with any toy they buy

The major catch they all have is with lease you stay and pay for the phone or leave and pay the balance off..when you own a phone you take it with you

Sprint access plan shows 50% cheaper on line access and 50% less per phone then add what you want to pay for what phone.
So it would be 6Gb $30 plus $10 per phone basic then add lease price on what phone you want as everyone is different..still looks 50% cheaper at sprint just for Basic 6GB and 4 phones

On the 3GB Verizon plan you would be paying about $225 a month. This would include unlimited talk and text for free, 3GB of data at $45, 4 line access fees at $20 each and a payment of about $25 for each phone on the payment plan. How does that sound?

Bravo Spooky...One thing I like to add to your post is that Phones for the last couple years now are able to work well on Sprints network not to mention there is a larger choice of phones and device out Now compared to the ClearWire days... let the countries that have used 2.5 GHz for the past years through out the Globe be a lesson to the Bashers .
Son has taken 2.5GHz to New Highs in Japan and about to do it here in the Good Old U.S.A. so lets remember what the Foreign car makers accomplished also years ago in the U.S.A. In the past, American vehicles have been notoriously low on quality and price alike. Foreign cars have been the long-time winners in categories involving quality, such as reliability and longevity. so why not the Spectrum wireless phones and devices work on?. Now with apple and others looking to Asia and other parts of the Globe since the U.S. market has slowed you think they are not making products to work around the globe .

I have the feeling the consumers have it figured all wrong that they no longer get a free phone and when you look back nothing was every free to start with. carriers reduce the price of new phone and got that money back during a two year contract . Now contracts are gone and carriers have dropped their service price 50% which they very well could do now that they don't sub phones most likely with that same amount of cash .
So what would be the next best thing to a lease cause you say you'll never own the phone simple get a 0% credit card slap the total price of the phone and pay it off interest free and Bingo it's yours or just pay cash.
Correct me if I am wrong but if you like to change phones a lease is no different then owning it .. if you lose or break it or it just stops working you going to flip the cost no matter how you get your phone

I agree to a point .. But there are the ares that still need built up in the future in other markets that this cost cutting could take effect..I don't recall anyone saying Sprint was Dumping all towers ... there are many with a few year of lease left but contracting a deal with gov. space is only installing equipment near the end of lease and a flip of a switch to cover the same area at much less cost ..
let us look as if it was you that owned the company and what steps you would take and at what time of the game
