Blackberry used a 1980's like operating system and their products were poorly made.
Android operating system is slightly better than Apple's, but not good enough to overcome Apple's hardware quality and lower software defects.
Plus we all know that a bigger iPhone screen is coming and when it does, he roll out will be huge.
I think the iPhone will do well for another 3 years.
At $600/ share, Apple will be able to buy back 20% of its shares.
Centerdir, how can CM's LTE network in China be almost done when its just starting to be built out in the USA?
Don't let the AT&T and Verizon propaganda fool you.
In Chicago during rush hour, LTE drops from 24mbps to a painful 2kbps (one ten thousandth) and in many places is non existent during rush hour.
China Mobile may very well launch their LTE system next week, but I doubt they can handle a half billion iPhones on it at this time.
Robertc, My Chinese friend never heard of singles day and he visits China once a year.
Perhaps it goes by a different name in China, but its akin to Valentines Day, hardly the busiest shopping day of the year.
Regarding my screen name, Edison, not being he brightest bulb, LOL.
While I didn't see one person actually buy an iPad 5 at two different locations,
it probably set a sales record due to increased international sales.
The cost of a college education is part of what's killing the middle class.
As a percentage of income, people pay less for smartphones than the tethered phone you grew up with.
Store was not packed. iPad air was unimpressive.
I have an iPad 2 and use it 80% of the time.
IMHO the iPad 3, 4, 5 retina display isn't good enough to motivate me to buy a new iPad.
NFLX, AAPL, GRMN all popped on earnings day and closed down.
I think we're at a market top, but then I said that a year ago.
Garmin pays a good dividend and hasn't gone up very much,
So I think its correction will be very mild.
But all of the restaurant stocks, NFLX, TSLA have huge price gains.
Those stocks aren't falling only because funds are waiting until January to take capital gains.
The 2014 correction will be sharp and short as a lot of side money that missed this bull market gets in.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
There are signs Apple will sell a wrist watch next year.
I don't see the need for it.
Tonight my Motorola DVR lost all of its recorded programs.
All DVRs and remote controls are a mess.
Too many buttons that do nothing.
With cooperation from a cable company, I can see Apple getting into the TV set top box business.
It solves a real problem.
The business model would be similar to AT&T and the first iPhone.
I don't see Apple integrating this device into a whole television.
No need for it and profit margins would be too low.
I have a 2004 white LCD tv in my kitchen that works just fine with a small cable adapter.
One simple remote control operates the whole thing.
I love the simplicity and white TVs are hard to find these days.
Semantics. Current health plans are not guaranteed renewable.
BTW, most of the current individual plans that are expiring are GOOD plans and half the price of Obamacare.
The problem with the current individual plans is that once you have a preexisting condition, the rates slowly creep up until they are unaffordable.
No current health plan is guaranteed renewable, so you didn't lose a thing.
There's a shortage of aluminum cases.
Tim Cook made the right move on the 5s.
Marketing the 5c is challenging.
CHL has 4G capability, but they can't handle 500M iPhones at the moment.
