Yup, I get it. But I will disagree on something, there was not TA possible that would have predicted that jump to $6.80, that was something that was so abnormal, there is not a TA strategy in the world that could have possibly predicted that. I do agree, that I could have been trading this for some good little gains here and there and I simply chose not to, for now. I can assure you that I will do some trading later on.

KD, using TA on a stock at the stage of any biotech stock including IDRA is a futile waste of time. Example: think of all the times folks with what I think have a good sense of knowledge of the TA process, have been on here and on many other boards talking about how it is going to break out here or there for that reason or the other and all have been wrong, not just one or two folks, but all of them. this thing will break out when the news is so exceptional that the street will not be able to resist its charm, until then it is a waiting game, a boring game mind you, but it is a painfully slow process and you have to have the patience to wait it out, or you can trade it for a few pennies here and there and feel like you are making head way. I am choosing to wait rather than trade it, at least at this time, I have always said, later on, I may trade in and out of it. I did that with CLDX and ended with 7K more share than I started with and rode it from $3.83 to $27.45. IDRA is going to do that, in my opinion, again, when is the big question.

Hey Frank, how are you? I actually thought about you and Rays, with the Republicans gains/butt whupping, I figured the CLDX board must have been lit up in bright red lights! Ha! This will make the next election in 2016 very, very interesting. Glad to see that CLDX came back strong recently, with great news as well and more coming!

Yeah I like Joe Maddon, seems like a good guy and great manager. The Cubs have a lot of young talent, he is going to have fun with them. I thought about getting back in to CLDX, believe me, I knew it was gong to climb again, when is always the question, right. You really should take a look at IDRA, it is going to have CLDX type movement in the next year or so. A great buyout candidate and a potentially huge pipeline of disease states their drugs will be able handle. They also have excellent management now, great science and the physicians on board with them are leader in their field. There also is a nice group of longs over there that support each other with great DD and posts. Good to hear from you and that CLDX came back for you all. I still expect CLDX to do great very soon.

I put a sell order at $2.75 for 20K shares today just for fun. Of course it will not go there but I had not even been on my Ameritrade website in weeks, thought I would go visit it. The price of IDRA shares the last month or so have like watching a mature stock. What that tells you is that the pressure has been to keep the price here, in a tight range, which is what thought would happen. I could definitely see $3 by the end of the year though, maybe a little higher if the December news nudges the stock price, that is certainly possible. Or bigger news could send it a little higher yet.

Hey Rays, how are you doing? I have been following the CLDX rebirth, great news for you longs. As you may remember, I got out earlier this year at $27.45, I have not come back in yet. I am mostly in IDRA right now and I think it is going to take off in 2015, much like CLDX did in 2013. Hey, I am disappointed that neither you or Frank congratulated me on the SF Giants winning their third WS in the last 5 years! Good luck with CLDX, looks it is on the right track again, you got great news the other day.

Yeah I was thinking the same as KD, I track the IBB every day. But to your comment, I agree the speculative biotech market has been hammered, once news, important news starts to come out, IDRA will fly. Your example of CLDX is actually very timely, because not long ago it was an $11 and change stock, their longs were upset and crying, but now their great news comes out and they hit $20 again today. So it just a matter of time until IDRA busts out.

    Science Question For Longs

I won't go medical on you because I am not a health professional, maybe KD or Drew might pipe in here. But from a sales standpoint I can tell you that doctors would always tell me that many times a therapy proven to work on many does not obviously work on everyone, so they would then go to another drug if you will to see if that works on their patient. So it is very important to the physician to have choices for a particular disease state. Also the side effect profile of a particular drug may be better for a patient than his other choices. So if a drug works, it is important for that doctor to have that choice in his bag, so to speak. Also, keep in mind that if the IDRA technology works well, we will rise greatly in share price before we get to market, only on its promise. Later when the drug is approved for use, will determine whether or not you may have the "one" that is covered by insurance or preferred by the doctors, then the stock flies even further.

Not just for this stock, any early stage biotech, you can throw TA out the window. TA is designed, in my opinion for mature stocks, when you are trying to squeeze a few cents out of it. Here we are waiting for that breakout that gives a glimpse in to their future and the possibility of being a profitable pharmaceutical company, or at least one that a bigger fish will want to buy because all of our possibilities. TA is not for me in this case, I don't even pay attention to it, not worth the time. And for those buying and selling for a few hundred or a thousand dollar profit now and then, that works, but eventually you will get caught with some shares on the outs and you will want to slap yourself for missing the boat with not all the shares you would have wanted in the game. BTW, I did that with CLDX and ended up with 7K shares more than I started with, so it can work, but I missed some runs had I waited a day or two longer a couple of times.

Never fails! You finally get you price and it goes a little lower. Benn there, done that, too many times to count. But hey, in the end you have your shares. You have enough shares now to make nice chunk of change when this thing flies.

The volumes of late have been very low, I agree that the retailers that are left are holding now, very few shares being traded. Just the folks on this board probably own about 1M shares easily, probably closer to 2M, only 1-2 of 85M, institution own a nice chunk now and that seems to be growing.

You have a good plan in place. My $20 price target is just that, a target to sell all or half of my shares. I do agree that there could be further price appreciation beyond $20, but I would like to put $2M away for retirement and see what else IDRA may be up to beyond that price target. Hopefully IDRA comes through and does that for all of us here that are in early. I am confident it will, when is the tricky part!

No, I actually sold all of it at $27.45 earlier this year. I do agree with you that IDRA will make a similar run sometime in the next 1-2 years (2015/2016). Hopefully in the $20-$30 range by the end of 2016.

The IDRA website has a lot of information, you should scour through that. They have amassed leaders in the industry on their management team, Baker Brothers are invested and on the board, their drug pipeline is set up to explode. When is the question. Many on this board have well over 50K shares, several in the 100K range. My target is $20 sometime in 2016 and many on this board think it could go much higher. Good luck.

Good advice. Or better yet use your IRA to buy and avoid capital gains. I am sure you meant $2.5B market cap, that is what I am shooting for, a price in the 20's sometime in 2016. Then I will evaluate and see where we are at. Sell half, keep half, sell all....all choices will be on the table then. One thing to remember is that even when it does get in to the 20's, if it does, it may come back down too, because of many factors. So it will be important for most folks to take some profits then or along the way too. 2015 certainly will be a fun year to watch this baby develop.
