Results were poor due to net unrealized losses in the energy portfolio. On the positive side, distributable income and AUM fees are at record levels. The weakness in energy gives them additional opportunities. With substantial distributions expected, I would hang on, IMO.
I can not think of one. My question would be, is it time to get out of mREITS all together?
Two years ago when the talk just began of raising rates they got destroyed.
Oil is the big story so the market is focusing on their energy related investments. They have many other companies. Strong cash flow for big dividends in the future. If you can weather the storm it will pass.
