Try not to say things like that. Spare a thought for the feelings of the guys who bought when it hit $55, $45, $35, $25, and $15 on that same advice!
I could well be adding $5 to the tail end of that sentence in the not too distant future. It's just the next number in the sequence after all.
The funny thing is that I've followed Armen all that time, including his stint at Elan and, although I've never said this before, I think, given AGEN's recent investments, this time may be different. Hoping to pick up some shares in the 3's before year end.
Well folks, the 3's are here but they came with such force and speed, I'm forced to consider the possibility of the 2's and 1's. Nothing like a bit of insanity for adding shares!
Not at all - just the usual dysfunctional market. Don't take your eye off the ball.
By year end, AGEN could trade at $10 or $1. If it's at $1 you should buy and if it's at $10 sell. Don't worry about trying to understand the market. Just take the money and let it be.
"It’s important to note that this resolution is specific to the parties involved in this matter," the FDA said in a statement on the Pacira agreement.
Nothing could be further from the truth. the first amendment right to free speech is about as broad as possible and the Exparel decision applies to every drug on the market, including Vascepa. The horse has left the barn.
Good company and bad stock combo makes for a buy. However still two weeks of pain to go before any possible advance. Those with gains elsewhere will not want to pay Uncle Sam tax on gains they cannot keep.
One wonders if tomorrow might see a surplus of buyers wanting to pick up some shares in the feeding frenzy!
Amarin's history seems to have been that of a stock useful in reducing tax to shareholders of other companies.
I must admit in my 35 plus years of investing in the drug industry, I have never witnessed such peculiar FDA behavior as I have with Amarin. In Amarin's position, I think the best policy would be simply to market Vascepa to all indications, regardless of the FDA and then fight the FDA from a defensive posture. The FDA finds itself exerting power it does not really have and it's past time to call it.
So you're saying that Trump got the most expensive business education available, paid for by his Dad, who then gave him $40M which he then lost and ran up debt of over $5B and was then bailed out by the banks and this is the businessman we're supposed to trust? This picture doesn't look right to me.
Well, that's a positive at least. I've always found Cramer to be a reasonably reliable reverse indicator.
I think Garo is the best man for the job. Always keeps the science funded and his eye on the ball, years ahead. That's what we need. If you're looking for free money tomorrow, get some Powerball tickets, AGEN will be delivering as its investments return results, which wont be tomorrow. I'm willing to wait a year or two. The shares are now well under $2, if you take out the cash value.
Look what Garo has done with the Balance Sheet. How many biotechs do you know that are this solidly funded for years to come?
In this space, funding is the most important part of the business. It makes no difference how good your science is if you can't stay around to develop it.
I've started a position at this level and will add in the weeks and months ahead. If I look 5 years out, I believe there's a good chance we'll see a range of of pps up to $10 long before we know the outcome from the science. That's good enough for me.
There's a chance we'll get to $3 or a bit lower I think. then again this could be the low. You need to average into your shares. Anything else is just gambling.
My opinion is the time to buy AGEN is anywhere under $4 so I've started acquiring a position. AGEN is moving fast in an exciting space. The market is not going to tell you what the company is worth. That's your job. When the market hands you lemons, make lemonade. Don't go crying to your Mommy like everyone here. She's completely sick of that behavior.
Get your shares while the gettin's good and leave your Momma alone. She has a hard enough time supporting your lazy butt.
Indeed, I've started a position. I hate to call a bottom because well nobody can but it's bounced off $16 a few times now on seriously bad days. It smells like a bottom to me!
