Yeah, it's just technically doesn't look like early afternoon was the right time to buy interms of direction, and especially with the index crashing but what do i know?
falling knife today. i'd wait for a 3:30 bear raid, or place a stink order in AH. Bottom line, CRM isn't likely to rally today, and won't report til 2/24.
TVIX isn't actually supposed to track SnP futures or the DOW - tracks VIX futures. In any case SnP futures are down only 3 points; VIX futures are flat.
$5.8B loss in Q4. Kind of negates the TVIX thesis... even after a global meltdown, CS isn't likely to honor the artificially inflated note. TVIX just a lose-lose proposition. The only way it ever gains significantly is with a market crash, and in that case, CS would dump it's junkiest asset first.
Well they've filed for $65M in secondary issue. I agree they have a viable product addressing a huge market, but it's a long bet. As long as the threat of dilution hangs over the stock, it won't move much without a new catalyst. So, you have to take a good long look at the pipeline and ask yourself when the next catalyst might occur.
Samsung has no desire to engage in a proxy war with Apple. Most Americans perceive Samsung as a smart phone competitor for Apple, but in fact Samsung is the world's largest IT company and the world's largest semiconductor manufacturer as well as one of the world's biggest screen makers, with highly advanced tech in both areas (the most prolific R&D budget) quite apart from being one of the world's largest insurance companies and ship builders. Back in 2008, I asked a large group of Samsung execs if they felt threatened by the iPhone; they said: "No. Apple must uses mostly Samsung technology to make its phones - more phones Apple sells, more money for Samsung". The last thing Samsung wants to do is step on the toes of its biggest customer.
NEOS would be trading much higher if not for the recent S-1 filing ~ it aint going nowheres without some clarification on the size, price & timing of its secondary offering.
So, the next question is why would you care whether your comments prompted others on this message board to buy or sell? If it's because you believe that TVIX message board sentiment could ever impact the transaction price of the note, which is entirely driven by HFT and arbitration, or that your comments here could ever impact SnP VIX futures, then your predictions are essentially baseless.
TVIX has only existed about 4... so shorts cannot have been overly confident for 7 years.
i see lamao. because your lmao post title says "today" lmao. so, i was wondering what time lmao?
BTW, here's a quick quiz question: what's between lmao and alpaca?
sarcasm... sorry, i'm not always the brightest lamppost in the street. thing is, some of the guys here could post something like that and really mean it.
so...when lmao exactly lamo is that going to happen lmao?
"intentionally designed by its proprietor to erode rapidly in transactional value" (auto-correct)
Well... because, with a database of personal information volunteered by nearly every human on the planet, Facebook is the holy grail of marketing, while TVIX is a derivative junk note with no fundamental value whatsoever, intentionally designed by its proprietor to erode rapidly in transnational value.
ZFGN ??? apples & onions.
Anyhow, as long as oil trades in the 25~40 range Boone & Slim are plum outta luck as far as the Pickens Plan is concerned.
