"Shipping cost apply"
I've been patiently waiting for a Japanese listing under retail, but Amazon has that region pretty well covered. You know, Amazon.
Also, if you were selling a part of your company would you be paranoid about the other company/party taking over? would you put into place some new executive compensation packages to guard against losing the company? has that happened? :)
No smoke. Just ruminating on facts:
Fact 1 - Amazon chose Mad Catz to supply a gaming controller to be part of a major component of a billion dollar project. Question: Is this because of the superiority of the Gamesmart software? What is that worth, if so?
Fact 2 - This relationship has been on a tight lipped non disclosure basis.
Fact 3 - Mad Catz just registered a $30M shelf.
Smoke 1: They are doing the deal directly through the exchange. No bankers' paws on the money.
i don't think so. Just the people expecting more disappointing results and seeing .42 as a good exit point. Maybe they have their eye on another stock and are taking a loss and moving or? That happens everyday. Not everyone that has bought this stock looks into the company's details. Some just look at the expectations, fundamentals, and the stock price and volume, but not the story. The story could be Amazon buys a stake in one of their major suppliers. A win win. Something i thought Gamestop should have done but now i see Amazon makes better sense.
Great post, thanks!
My intuition points to taking advantage of a share price increase just as they did last time when they issued shares at $2.40. Or they could be selling part of the company to a strategic partner and circumventing the underwriting firms.
Do they shell that out in 10k blocks with trading instructions of all or none. How is that handled?
Or do they shell it out in a 15M block trade to Amazon at a $2 per share valuation after they go public with their relationship in a week?
This current shelf registration for $30M cost them $3900? Seems like a smarter move than the PIPE.
How does that happen?
We've only seen damage control. Soft landing just completed i hope.
Maybe last chance for low 40s.
"Return to growth and profitability": Did he really say that?
thats great information on Alexa. i was surprised how little traffic was from Asia with the site looking like it is geared toward that demographic.
I respectfully disagree and hope i'm wrong about leaks. Mad Catz IMO confirmed they have the same sentiment when they issued subpoenas related to possible leaking of information through Yahoo MB. There is always a leak, Uptab. Whether it is orchestrated directly through a management level, in this case, is highly unlikely. But information is shared with more people outside of management.
Being a believer that this ship has a few leaks, i'm also thinking we aren't going to see anything fundamentally substantial since the stock hasn't moved.
Maybe from DR's enthusiastic prognostications, but not from a leaky accounting firm perspective. Remember the reputable firm Arthur Andersen?
advertising or a popular article or feature in a magazine or press could cause a temporary jump in a region.
Don't we see this every time a new product debuts? Amazon sells out then it is restocked within a few days. Check back in 5 days.
"PEEKABOO - Our Gamesmart Technology is 'allied' with Google, Nvidia and Amazon" - cover up face with hand
What's the definition of an ally? Can they say they are "allied" with Google, Nvidia, Amazon without misleading? Just because they make a gaming controller that works with the Android system, that doesn't mean they are allies. Is there more here than we know? "PEEKABOO!!!" Are they allied with Apple? They make a controller that works with iOS.
From MCZ website:
GameSmart is the new standard in multiplatform gaming and input accessories. Using unrestricted Bluetooth protocols, our products realize the full potential of the mobile-device evolution with a range of peripherals for gaming, productivity, and multimedia.
Allied with Google, NVIDIA, Amazon, and our global network of publishing partners, GameSmart is pioneering the de facto input standard for the next generation of gaming and input devices
Will be very nice for Mad Catz if Gamesmart has a piece of that market. Would be a major coup by the currently hated DR (CEO).
