Last time we had a split the stock dropped big time. I don't think they want to revisit that again. I don't see a split from my vantage point.

Two different businesses. What is good for someone like you who loves the low class environment of a Walmart and someone smart who can manage his funds and product are two different things. What you should be comparing is Sam's Club with Costco and wondering why per store Costco does double the business.

Well they got that Citigroup, or whoever it was, projection of 150 so maybe a lag effect. I also think that that Alibaba offering drained the market a little - $200 Billion is a lot of money that went to China and out of US stocks.

    $523,000 Goes to Jones Soda

Even though her price was .30 or thereabouts, its still 1/2 Million dollars and pretty illiquid at that. Combine that with no debt and just maybe she knows something that the rest of us don't. You invest for a lot of reasons - profitability, dividends, the come, past history, etc. This is just one additional indicator that could make you some money at a reasonably low price. I notice a lot of bashers in here, don't really know why, maybe a bunch of former disgruntled employees. Someone said its another quarter of "cash burn", but its the holiday quarter also and you can not deny that there is a following for Jones Soda. So this CEO certainly knows the cash flow, like the rest of us do since the financials don't have a lot of garbage adjustments in them - they are what they are. Who knows, maybe a bigger deal with Wal-Mart is in the making.

    Cost getting pricey?

I agree that 27 P/E is high, but earnings come out on October 4 and maybe we should see how much of the 7% same store sales increase and the 6% overall for the quarter falls to the bottom line. Lately the huge same store sales increases have not translated into a big earnings increase. Say you get a 10% margin on additional sales of $2 Billion thats $200 Million minus taxes that should go to the bottom line. So maybe you get $100 Million out of that and on 500 million shares thats and extra 20 cents per share. This assumes that there are not additional warehouse costs supporting the additional sales because these are all marginal sales. So thats maybe 80 cents on the year. Then you have an 18% year over year increase in net income - 4.47 to 5.27. Does that merit a P?E of 27? Anyway, just playing with numbers.
