The SLV board is horrible. They've been posting the same few messages for years....debt, China, JP Morgan, etc. Rarely do I find any real market data. Meanwhile, they don't look at the chart. I'm long silver (PSLV is a good chunk of my portfolio), but let's get real...it has been a horrible "investment" the last two years.
Anyway, I hope I'm right about coffee too...
OK, I will...
...yes, the bunny lays chicken eggs and hides them.
It's called Good Friday. There are billions of delusional folk out there, so yes...it's worldwide.
...here's a quote that I think sums it up best:
“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” - Richard Buckminster Fuller
So, we need to build a new model. Some are working towards that goal (eg. sustainable movement). However, government and giant multi-national corporations aren't...because they are working to preserve themselves.
...just like that, get out of business? The Federal Government is, and has been, a HUGE part of the economy. I'm not saying whether or not it should be. I'm saying that we're in an extremely complex and difficult situation and there is no easy solution. A century-in-the-making problem can't be solved in a few years.
When we grow a civilization with an unsustainable economy....well, at some point it will stop sustaining itself. We're reaching that point...
...would you rather we crash and burn? If an engine goes out in an airplane, would you want the pilot to do what he/she can to keep it flying...or just say #$%$ it" and fly it into the ground? Well, our economy has an engine out....
...I hope it's not too long of a limb. Anything you invested in BORK should be money you can easily afford to lose.
Anyway, it has held relatively well. It might end up worthless but just remember what happened in 2011. It could happen again. One could make an argument that the company is stronger today than a couple of years ago. However, we don't know the value of John Bourque (at least, I don't)...
I click "Flag" and hit "Report Abuse". I've seen it work on other, less active message boards...but here, it doesn't seem to do anything.
...an economy doesn't have to be based on extracting resources from the earth and making stuff we don't need. As long as our basic needs are met, we could create an economy based on service or sharing of information or art or whatever.
...yes, and the quadruple helix toroid is taking shape too. We all know what that means!
LMAO! Seek help...
...you're an idiot, an angry idiot.
...my point is that silver has done nothing for over two years yet we keep hearing the same thing from silver longs. At what point will you concede that you were wrong....three years, five years, ten years? Also, my post isn't an "I'm scared" post (I wrote that I'm not selling any time soon). It's more of an "enough with the nonsense" post...
...no, I don't need the money now and don't plan on selling any time soon. However, there has been a pretty big opportunity cost with silver. Equities are reaching all time highs while silver languishes. Yet, the religion of silver is as strong as ever. As I pointed out before, there is overlap among the Glenn Beck and Alex Jones crowds (who are completely delusional) and silver longs. This fact says something about the silver market that doesn't comfort me....
When do all you silver longs stop with the mantra? Again, I own physical and PSLV but it has been a dog for TWO YEARS PLUS. Shorts haven't done any better. This thing has flat-lined...
We really don't know what's behind SLV. The language in the prospectus won't give you any warm fuzzy feelings. For that reason, I don't hold any SLV. Instead, I use PSLV....
...yes. Seeking Alpha is a glorified message board...
...bump
