If OLED tv sales were really good last quarter, what do you think the price will be? If LG & Samsung have ramped up purchasing as they build out their OLED manufacturing, what will the price be? When Samsung extends its contract past 2017 what will the price be? When flexible Mobile devices become the mainstream what will the price be? When Apple finally converts modbile devices to OLED what will the price be?

If you are not buying as much as you can at the current prices, then you do not really understand OLED. Yes the apple rumor caused it to bump up just as the short attack followed by the market mess (Oil, China) exacerabted the down move.. Again, nothing has fundamentally changed IMHO. I have been buying as it goes down and am not concerned for the long term at all.

Everyone thinks the wil pay royalties after 2017 unless they stop selling phones and TVs altogether. Doom and gllom all you want but the smart money is stilll buying at these prices.

Yes the overall market is getting crushed and impacting OLED as well. I am buying more at this price and see nothing that has fundamentally changed in what we expect to happen. Between the short attacks and the market correction (long overdue) this is a prime time to buy. When Samsung renews/extends its contract it will be too late. This is the year it starts and I do expect this to double in the next 2 to 3 years. The momentum has started and the results this year will bear the fruit.
more green adoption, more royalties. TV in earnest- there is even marketing for it (Best Buy).
I am excited for this year and while the macro effect of the current downturn is hurting the price, I see it as a buying opportunity.
This is an election year, the market will turn by the second half IMHO...

Then we can agree to disagree. McDonalds hamburgers are gross and they selll billions of them. IHOP's pancakes are really bad and they sell millions of them. Sometimes its more about perception than reality.
Look BWLD food is OK at best. But they are selling Sports, Beer, Wings in that order. People come their for the environment and to hang out with friends. Almost any joint in town is goign to have better wings, but not the tablets, not the TV's and not the choices of beer. That is what makes the difference, a place you go to watch whatever hot game is on!

In my email inbox this morning from Best Bue was whole page about "A whole new Category: of TV LG-OLED!
"From intense color and stunning contrast to the wide viewing angle and pencil-thin design, LG delivers a whole new Category of TV. "

There is a link for see it yourself - .. It gives a nice basic descirption/education of the technology. And there are additional links for more details on the TV and where to shop for it You can even shp by TV type and Oled is one of the choices, it comes up with 4 55" and 2 65" inch versions available.

    This is awesome!

Because it has zero material impact on the company- There is no money coming from the court cases so why dwell on them...

Well when you say "priced in" what is priced in? That it does a billlion? 2 billion? 3 billion? more.... Its exactly that uncertainty that gives it such potential. What about another 2 billion in toys and related stuff to the star Wars Universe.? I am more interested in what the stock price is in mid January than on December 18th.

And just as Star Wars sales start to wane next year- we get the opening of Shanghai. Disney. This is a great time to be Disney holder...

Question about 'blue' for the experts

it comes down to energy use and efficeincy. A TV that had true red, green and Blue emitters would use exponentially less energy- allowing for some pretty good savings on electricity and on mobile devices would really help on the battery life/size versus anything out there. It would kill LCD completely as they couldn't compete using backlit technology. Also it would give UDC another stream of revenue. Remember that in gerneral devices use twice as much Green as Red and would use twice as much Blue as green. So if they ever got adopted it would be awesome from a revenue standpoint.. In terms of picture quality, not as much impact and probably not much to the naked eye, but energy efficiency is the key.

Of course you are making the assumption that what they create would not use UDC technology! That is a pretty big leap. Just becasue they do not want Samsung and LG doesn't mean they couldn't or wouldn't license UDC's technology directly. Would be the quickest time to market...

Seriously? Everyone sells burgers? Hasn't stopped McDonalds, 5 guys, 5 napkins, and 50 other franchises from doing it- all of them doing well. Bwld does it nationally. Did you know that BWLD is now the largest retail purveyor of Beer in the world? Did you know the have the highest customer stay rate of any chain in the fast casual space ( amount of time a customer stays in the venue). When you get a clue let us know...

Stock price is not correlated to how good the wings are! You are right its about the entertainment value. Sports, beer. wings in that order...
