"Kenny is a saint compared to you"
That cracked me up. Doesn't Kenny have a lengthy FINRA record, laying out a series of rather significant securities violations? Please correct me if I an wrong on this point. If such behaviors equate to sainthood, that explains why you longs were so willing to forgive the obvious transgressions, exaggerations, and misstatements (lies?) by former IOC management. Saints, indeed.
Funny, Bonk. I was not aware of this paper, but it comports exactly with my thinking, experience, and intuition. On a separate note, I am very good friends with Steve Lippman, and know Bikh (as we call him) quite well. Don't know Ryan, but that may be senility. Or perhaps he has left the building, so to speak...
I know you don't, but I think it absolutely is. Nobody is going to want to invest what is needed in terms of due diligence to make a bid, knowing that Total can just match it. I don't see why you think there is a difference. To me it has nothing to do with geography, but economics and human behavior.
JD: in my opinion, MS is right. When someone else has a ROFR on an asset, it is absolutely an encumbrance that prevents bids from others. I see that in real estate all the time....
Oh, Kenny. Would you stop obsessing about me already? I am feeling gobsmacked by all your attention.
Meanwhile, I know your brain is essentially a sieve, but I was using the word "criminal" to describe IOC management, most likely.
Hugs. No. I mean, thanks for posting...
Thanks for sharing, Bonk. We all know this rumor is just an OE pump...which actually worked, and I imagine the source of the rumor was somehow tied into those $55 weekly options. Good stuff. Sadly the longer-term option premiums didn't move much. Oh, well.
Oralexpurt: I think you have been watching a few too many cop shows. Are you law enforcement or something? I have this extremely amazing idea. Why don't you just try to call their IR people yourselves, and see what they say to you? Meanwhile, are you that thick to think there is really any substance to this rumor? Are you that green re: IOC? This is just another in an extremely long list of rumored dance partners. And more to the point, why don't you ask Kenny and the other long pumper clowns to do as you are asking Bonk to do? Or is it just that so long as the rumor is a pump, the source is irrelevant.
Oh, and one other thing. Let us all know when you find out that information about VS's net worth, chuckle chuckle.
How ya; doin', Dos? Still obsessing over ridiculous tid-bits, I see. Excellent. For the record, I, too, have lied and want to come clean. I did steal the cookie from the cookie jar.
Well, Kenny, if you are going to make that bucket of money, I guess I can't feel anything but happiness for your ex- and Becky, as well as the local restaurants in your area, all of whom will benefit greatly from your tremendous success. Mazel Tov!
Yep. Just as I suspected. Just look at the open interest for this week's $55 calls and puts. HUGE numbers, way, way above the other strike prices both this week and for any other month. Planted rumor. And someone is going to make some money first thing in the a.m. Classic IOC. Pump it, and well...you know...
Bwahahahahaha! A rumor? Involving IOC? A buyout? My gosh! This is the first I have ever heard of any such thing. Wow. I wonder what would happen if I search for prior rumors of an IOC buyout on this message board or elsewhere. Will I find any previous rumors like this? Perhaps it will be a Helia Tec/Conoco/RSD/Exxon/CNOOC/Marathon/Teck consortium. Well, at least Teck is a new name that has never been mentioned previously...
Meanwhile, I wonder who is long the $55 calls expiring tomorrow. In any case, let's hope the option premiums spike. Maybe I will get back into the IOC game. Woo hoo! I have been waiting for the next IOC rumor and wondered what the heck was taking so darn long...
Man, I strongly dislike snot nosed strawmen, esp by an absent minded pumper. What a clown. Where the heck is Pickboone with his musings on imminence?
You rang? I won't email. Just wanted to send my regards. Was just watching ice dancing and thought I would drop by.
For what's it worth, I don't understand why it is so hard to comprehend that people might get tad obsessed about anything...and that would include stupid message boards, especially with regards to a controversial, colorful, and profoundly interesting company like IOC.. If obsession is an ulterior motive, then I am guilty as charged. Just been busy and there is not much to pique my interest in IOC as an investment opportunity (shrinking option premiums), so I have been quieter than usual.
Best to all (mostly all).
P.S. Getit is truly missing a few screws, absolutely zero doubt about that.
Wrong. He started out hopeful, but he, ahem, set the artificial deadline as imminent, ahem, which will be missed...
And I got several former students who work at yahoo, so I will be able to keep tabs on him even if I did not see him as much as I do.
