It is but I've noticed that there's more chatter lately about Vince, Kate Spade and Brandy Melville (I think its just clothes though). It's also true that its hit the masses and possibly oversaturated but COH was oversaturated for YEARS before it had any real competition.
I wouldn't mind being taken out so I can invest my money in a stock that's getting its rightful due as KORS is not.. I think I would just BE on an offer but I'm okay with that.
I'm not exactly sure how retail works but I'm assuming you're right. They already purchased the inventory. At the Macy's by me, the KORS display has pretty much taken over the old COH display that's been there for like a couple of decades now. If COH was essentially #1 for over 20 years, why can't KORS last more than what they're giving it credit for? COH was almost the only game in town in relation to where it stands in the market (mid-tier). COH really did almost have a monopoly thinking back now. I'm surprised it took this long to knock them off their pedestal.
For what its worth. Someone recently posted on Facebook that Macy's had a sale on MK boots and the boot that they wanted sold out everywhere (even online) before they could buy them (assume as soon as the sale started). I think it was a $300 boot on sale for $180. Does show there's still high demand for MK goods but yeah it was a sale which everyone here hates. A girl can't resist a good sale though!!
I do think the Christmas season will be the "impetus" for this moving up...otherwise nothing else really will. People will have more money in their pockets due to lower gas prices. In aggregate, it will make a difference in overall spending.
Agreed. Everything you think "should" happen here doesn't and will in fact go opposite. Long but this stock sucks now. I'm doing the worst I have ever done since I started investing and I"ve done extremely well up to now. Guess we each have to take a turn eventually. Gonna wait it out as I learned from holding AAPL for about 6 years.
Ahhh so when should they have sold? Every day can be technically considered before the next earnings.
Exactly. The market is broken and cannot value *hit properly! Lesser deserving companies have much higher PE's than KORS!
