thanks BH, looking forward to getting away from anything nat gas related. now if I can only figure out how to get the harley there.
the awesome wife really surprised me this time....leaving this week for 2 months in italy so who needs the hamptons. trip is gonna cover venice, naples, rome, florence, 2 week in lake como, the itlalian alps, scilily, sardinia and my favorite a 2 week cooking tour of tuscany farmhouses. yum yum. happy tradin and I'll catch you all in sept. I'm not too thrilled with the summer trade so If I had to guess we gonna run the analysts ranges for a while. Hope you guys have a great summer and you all end up with piles of cash.
+1 good observation, that pipe is being ramped up as you read this. If the pipe could accept the nominations from last week we would have seen 120 yesterday.instead of 113. Natty has gotten real good at catching breaks over the last 9 weeks.
its called doing your homework. the folks that work for me dig up all sorts of stuff. our opinion todays injection was nice but not enough to change momo. We still thinking we need 2 tcf + in the bag to get normal give and take trade. maybe mid to late july.
any comments here, anyone been following besides me.....Spectras Algonquins big northeast pipe, that crosses NJ, into NY and CT to feed the northeast has had servere flow restrictions due to planned maintenance on multiple compressor stations+ improvements last week and this week. That pipe is 1200 miles long and can carry 2.6 bcf a day.
I think you are doing it right. unless we get one of those goofy out of the blue downturns like we got around dec 26. that was a doozy.
hey, you can always try ugaz. thats what I'm doing on the pullbacks. if you can't beat em then join em. just seems so rediculously biased to spring higher so try some scalpin.
anyone remember when we had the last one. Around March 3 I think. and it didnt last long. gas just has no weakness. very unusual not to have some kind of a trade in both directions
the leases come and go so its not the leases. 300 wells- way off. in some places 1 rig might be 20 wells or more. agree lots are closed for now. I think we just gotta grin and bear it. so much good news, nattys lights are all green and not one speed bump. We are seeing record production and if demand sags production gonna really stand out. I' m just scalping both sides now-more ugaz than d.
IMHO....I think we gonna be stuck in the upward momo until something like maybe 2 tcf in the bag or we get a bump. Thats a normal winter. then you'll see gas trade instead of this constant pressure to go up.
good observation, the morning gap is the only thing thats been working for a couple of months. probably see them try a new trick soon.
good point, those rigs are chasing oil. on 4.25 probably not gas got so many breaks, coal news, storage, irak, etc. not one shred of bad news-very unusual at this time of year.
just being honest here....took some off the table and losses on dgaz. some days you are the bug and some days you are the windshield. I cant see how they are not gonna reverse split d.
I still think no matter how good the gas story is when she really gets sick the stockmarket gonna sink all boats including gas. I think I'm seeing a rotation into gold but not sure.
some of today's pin action is gonna be based on contract roll. roll completes tomorrow. If reclassifications dont get you contract roll will.
"Commodity futures contracts normally specify a certain date for delivery
of the underlying physical commodity. As this date approaches, investors
may replace the contracts having near-term expirations with contracts
having more-distant expirations. For example, a light sweet crude oil
futures contract purchased and held in October may specify a January
expiration. As the expiration date approaches, the contract expiring in
January may be replaced by a contract for delivery in March. This process
is known as “rolling.”
To reflect the rolling process, the Dow Jones-UBS Commodity Index
methodology specifies that as the futures contracts that comprise the
indexes approach expiration, they are replaced by similar contracts with
