I don't usually buy and hold with a 5-7k profit short term but with URG the takeout risk is too high right now for me to sell this low. I realize it can drift back down over the next few weeks. Maybe in the 1.20's or 1.40's. I have no choice but hold EF since i'm so far underwater but I suspect they will rally later this year as they fill contracts with stock cake and produce at the lowest cost ISR with URZ new facilities. They will want to show a profit in q-3 or q-4 even if they have medium term challenges. It seems to me these stocks and this sector has been beaten down for so many years the risk going forward is to the upside. At least for those who survive.

Up 5k and it's only the beginning. EF still buying high grade assets, take a look at the news on UUUU
Makes sense to hold through the first reactor starts imop, should take URG to the 1.40-1.60 area

True...but I was pretty lucky trading URZ before EF stepped on them. I'm not waiting for 2 bucks, just saying in an improved UR space that's not a huge #. Japan can't let hundreds of billions in idle assets sit forever. Once they have a restart the others will be easier. And I only expect 1/3 of their reactors to come back online in any case.

I'm thrilled to be positive on this position so soon. I missed adding even more to the position under .80 due in some part to the doom and gloomers predicting 50 cents. The first couple restarts will be the hardest but they could rocket these stocks combined with the fact that many miners will not sign LT contracts at a production loss and Utilities must start buying and locking in supply very soon. Many would consider URG cheap at 2 bucks in an improving UR market.

Nothing, oil is up and UR stocks are tracking the energy sector rebound. I'm in URG at .80 average so it's not too bad. I thought Jan could be tough but we really got hammered. I still think we break a buck by the end of Spring. Start a few G-D reactors already!

Me thinks thou does protest too much. Dev is obviously exceedingly schooled in this space and I look forward to whatever he has to say. He can respond to anyone in particular or no one in particular. Regarding investing in here, whoever has the balls and brains to pick the right miners at the right time is going to eventually make a lot of money. Or do we all really think Nuclear power is going away any time soon?

I bought URG to trade, if it swings on news (like a restart or 2) id probably jump out and get back in lower. I was fortunate to do that 4 times with URZ over the past 4-5 months. Buying and holding in the UR mining space is pretty darn dangerous. I'm in the deep end with EF already. Having said that, I thing URG is cheap at .80 cents if you are looking 12-15 months out. Daddy always said, if you can make 20% quick...TAKE IT.

    Stock buyback

Once they consolidate URZ they will use a combination of the lower cost ISR production, spot purchase, stored inventory etc. to fill combined contracts and generate as much cash flow as possible on the lowest production cost basis possible. They will not buy back stock and will wait for higher UR prices to expand hard rock production. My guess is the combined company can be profitable at above $60 contract price. This does not include some of the large capital investment necessary to expand and permit new production. If they are smart they won't do another float under $10 stock price which should be possible within 24 months and would not be highly dilutive at 10m shares or 100m net. If the CEO could keep his mouth shut about how they are consolidating the industry for a while and run the company conservatively it could be a heck of a play at 5 dollars.

Yes, I will continue to buy at or under .80 up to 100k shares. My plan is to sell at or above 1.20 later this year

It's nothing short of a bloodbath. I can't stomach an added investment in EF after that ridiculous CC. I'll be waiting 2 more years on EF I bet but they will survive now with ISR. At least I sold URZ, I will continue to buy URG on weakness as I believe it will trade over a dollar this year and I need a big one to add to the day trades. The fact that the Saudis are willing to bankrupt Iran, Russia and Venezuela to slow down shale production in North America is surprising and I admit, I didn't see it coming. This could actually go on for 3-6 more months before we settle on a realistic price between 50-70/barrel. This is no time to give Iran some sweetheart Nuclear deal...I would double down on sanctions (they are cheating) and bring them to their knees around 30,00 melted centrifuges. Of course, the last time John Kerry got tough he was eating his Yogurt warm.

Got some more today near the low...this has got to turn around at some point. I might just hold it all this time and wait for a real move later in the year. Lord knows I need it after the devestation over at EF.

When did URG hit 2.99 last year?
The recent drop in spot has been on very low volume, we won't know the spring prices until some utility volume comes in. If URG drops to or below .80 i'll borrow $$$ to buy more.
Does anyone have access to post all or part of the Barron's article? Thanks

I completely agree with your argument. But just like when URZ hit .90 it just seems cheap...even if I have to wait a bit. This whole energy and commodity sector seems overly trashed, especially if you understand that the entire planet is fighting deflation.

On URG today. Could be the next take out target with URZ locked up. In any case I think it's going higher in the next 3-6 months.

We won't see any stability in the market until oil finds a bottom. However, once it does I think you will see this space move back up as well. Could be a while or with URZ locked up the next buyout could be URG. ISR is the place everyone wants (needs) to be right now.
