Blame it on skittish foreign investors. I've had a couple of stocks lately do this on good earnings (PII). I guess its the new thing, sell off on earnings no matter what. I've made enough money here lately guess I can't complain. Where else are they going to put their money? UA is moving into China btw.
Terms of service. I looked it up. I wouldn't want to choose sides on this mb but some of us need to get out and get some fresh air. Unless they're posting from India. Then maybe they should go to bed.
I've seen this exact message on several mb's. Its some kind of spam thing. Be interesting to see if this leads to new mail in my dummy mail box. I'd guess some type stock recommend site.
Stock pays a dividend so if you split stock, you'll have to split dividend. If you leave # shares alone, you can raise dividend to match % gain. I'd guess people into dividends like to see them go up much more than go down and announcements raising dividend is considered good news. Stock split excites the shareholders but doesn't motivate new buyers. In fact some may think the stock tanked along w/ dividend. The only reason for a split is if there were a considerable amount of investors who could not afford 1 share. Not much of that type of investing anymore. Look at all the successful co's w/ $400+ share prices.
Merril Lynch has this annoying little smart card that gives pin # for certain transactions they deem unclean. I had to use it to buy another 7000 shares a couple of wks ago. I should have just transferred the funds to Ameritrade acct and kept with the rest
I can't believe cnbc has given him the soapbox he has in the am. It should be a conflict.
