That usually happens when there is a bad result released. Most (all?) I've seen are soon after closing.
Hey, it can happen when the market is open (flash crash), it's best to stay in front of your computer. And if there's bad news AH, it's a gift. You just call your brokerage and make one of those $30 AH trades, which is more likely to be filled w/o much delay. IMUC happened for me that way - still came out way ahead. Funny thing is that I posted this advice on the The IMUC MB immediately, and I'd say that most of those people are still holding with eternal optimism, some even added. It's now less than 50% of my sell price. People lose realmoney when they stubbornly hang on...
Bet what you're willing to lose with a "stop" variety order. Then it doesn't matter if it's 100% of your portfolio. If you're right one out of three times, you come out way ahead.
I was only reiterating my fears for this pursuit or, mainly, NVAX stating publicly that they would seek a vaccine for ebola. I was not concerned with whether or not ML was being a tdiikk or you were being too petulant.
To my first point: If uncle amiglio published the Jan 9 statement from HHS verbatim, that means the macaque "challenge" is over - or over any second. Every day that goes by now, gives me more pause. I can't think of any overriding reason for them not to immediately trumpet a good result. Ebola is a tricky virus, it's not as simple as a flu vaccine...
FWIW, and to stay above the fray, I still agree with the spirit of the statement. I don't think they should've pursued an ebola vaccine.
We will see but I feel that this candidate has less of a chance at success than any other in their pipeline. And all for a catalyst that is two mos. (at most) ahead of the "seasonal" results...
Well, all good news there. Yet is it time to wonder why they haven't released info on the "challenged" macaques? If one reads the language literally (particularly the word "challengED"). Then the results should be known by now.
exactly keu, with the OS, pipeline, results so far, we should be a dollar higher, and I think that's conservative. Of course, no price at this stage represents real value but any similar biotech would be somewhere around there and I think this one merits better.
I don't think Pfizer would buy a company that hasn't completed a PII. They don't seem to go outside the box with their strategy in general.
At any rate, anything that would happen now would most-likely be hostile.
I've held both for almost 9 years: aapl roughly 900% profit; nvax, well, I made almost 1000% w/in 4mos.. after that, let's just say that I still own shares I payed 65 cents for. How d'ya like them turdballs...turdball.
I'm surprised you/it made it the The Wall of Ignore. Never again.
"truth_exposure"? How quaint_pathetic.
With the volume this AM, there could be a "sweating" today.
There might be some credibility to the notion that news is not released on fridays anymore. I think I've noticed this trend lately. Here's hoping I'm spectacularly wrong about this..
I would think that the seasonal flu vax would be a better candidate for fast-track. As a shareholder one should be more in favor of this, since it is a cpl. mos. away from PII results, and therefore closer to market (next season, N Hemisphere?).
If memory serves me (and I seem to get lousy service) there was a slight problem, way back when, with a now reformulated part of the quad vax. that might give them pause for fast-tracking? -MO
That's a good point, and one that haunt's me. I would point to a few value adds:
govt. funding staves off dilution jitters til it basically doesn't matter anymore. The funding, over several candidates, lends a ton of credibility, as do the perfect results for the whole platform so far. Huge pipeline, huge potential mkt. in flu, RSV, and flu/RSV. A near-term marginally-profit-effecting catalyst (ebov). They actually make a little money already, with more potential there.
In terms of excitable late-stage PII companies, the current price (and wild enthusiasm) is dull normal IMHO.
By "the government" I assume you don't mean Congress, , and by "Congress" I mean the bought Repub's who would only pass anything that paid drug co.'s and their lobbyists. Obamacare doesn't solve that problem...
Ideological nonsense again - geez you're stupid.
I posted facts, refute them rather than vomiting bile. The sad "fact" (yes, that's a word. Look it up) is you can't because you're living in a moron fantasy. I gave you a chance to prove that you're more than dangerously worthless. Times up - you're on ignore where many more prudent people have put you already.
