I see $5 (Canadian) on their silver Mapleleaf, not $100. So when you buy a Maple silver, you have a $5 (can.) put option. The U.S. eagle has a $1 price on it. Why I prefer maples, not that silver will ever get down to $5 again. We're headed north of $50 this year :)
Meanwhile stocks & bonds are near a record highs. The smart money is selling stocks & bonds and buying precious metals, especially silver. Palladium looks good too.
$75-$125/oz. easy. Lots of nervous billionaires in China, Russia, U.S., India, Europe & everywhere overinvested in paper. If they decided to move just 1% of wealth into silver $125 would be conservative price objective.
They almost have to sue Ackman given the things he's said. If they don't sue, people will begin to ask "Why not-what are you afraid of?" & the stock price could decline bigtime. If what Ackman has said is baseless, they must sue.
We all know what happened in October 1987.
I was wrong. You were slickly trying to drive the price up by getting people to cover shorts, at which point you could short at a higher price and make huge lettuce on the crash after the repot. Extremely clever & slick Syb.
Claimed he was kidding--just trying to panic shorts into covering so he could sell short at higher price. Was that it, Syb?
So Syb, you're now claiming you made your $400+ prediction to panic shorts into covering, so you could short at a higher price? That seems dishonest.
Then he & his reps can go in on discovery & look at the guts of HLF. If HLF DOESN'T SUE, investors will get nervous & say--jeez, Ack compared them to ENRON and they DON'T SUE????
SKEW is often early. The dive may not occur for a week or a month or two. but skew is almost always correct in predicting major (20% plus) declines.
SKEW measures the willingness of the big money to pay up for deep out of the money puts. It is NOT a contrary indicator. It actually correlates well with high "tail risk"/ "black swan" market dives. The last time skew was this big was in 2008 before the plunge. Also was big before the 2000 & 1987 crashes.
