What do you think would happen to the price of SIRI if pilled off a deal with LYV or Yahoo or even Spotify? I'd say SIRI would bump 25-30%. VZ bought AOL. I think Spotify is making a BOLD and SMART move and SIRI is paying close attention. Flip that coin I'm on both sides.
The great wealth creation machine rolls on and on. Thats the 5th spinout in the past year. Malone is loaded for bear. Let the games begin.
The great wealth machine rolls on and on. Big plans for the latin market
VZ buys AOL. Spotify offers video. SIRI could buy YAHOO?
I do agree that SIRI is almost all about the car but? why not expand into streaming more. Perhaps and add-on to your current SIRI service? A cool hip video music streaming service for a couple of bucks more a month?
Driven Spotify has 16mil paying costumers. We have 28mil. SIRI needs a video streaming partner to take it to the next level.
Until today Spotify was a music streaming service with 16mil. paying customers. Now they plan to offer video.
Spotify is making a bold move into the video world that makes a ton of sense. SIRI could easily do the same thru LYV or a hookup with YAHOO. Think about this? Why did Verizon buy AOL? It's about streaming content over there network.
LYV has a live concert every day for the next year streaming on Yahoo. Think of all the content SIRI has access to already? I think the people at Spotify are right on target.
Boy this is going to get REAL interesting REAL soon. Nothing like having the the Cable Cowboy in your corner when the chips are down. Go get em John.
Maffei has already said he would like to see SIRI and LYV play nice. LYV has tons of video content! I like this move by Spotify.
Spotify to add video content, announces new partnerships.
Music streaming service Spotify will start offering video content with partners including Comedy Central and Vice News as it moves to expand beyond its core business, the company announced Wednesday.
At a press event, Spotify also detailed plans for news and podcast offerings through the partnerships. The company touted an emphasis on personalized playlists and recommendations through its "Now" feature, which rolls out to Apple iPhone users in certain markets Wednesday.
"There's an incredible opportunity to soundtrack your entire day and your entire life. We're taking a huge leap to give it to you," said Spotify CEO Daniel Ek.
The popular streaming service has more than 60 million users and more than 15 million paid subscribers globally. Its newest relationships come on the heels of a music deal with Starbucks, which was unveiled on Monday.
Hey thanks I'll look it up. I guess i'm showin my age. LOL.
Now this is a VERY big deal indeed .If anyone can pull it off it's Malone. profit times ahead.
But the Liberty family is sure participating as LYV- LVNTA- STRZA are all at there 52 week high. TKS John for all the wealth you create.
The big boys are looking more and more at the connected car business.
AT&T is equipping cars with data connections for diagnostic, roadside assistance and entertainment systems.
Cars, meanwhile, contributed to more than half of the 1.2 million wireless service connections that AT&T added in the first quarter. These are primarily car manufacturers needing data connections for diagnostic systems and consumer-facing services such as OnStar navigation and roadside assistance.
AT&T has partnerships with eight car manufacturers, including General Motors, Ford and BMW, and expects to be the data-service provider for half of the new wireless-connected passenger vehicles this year.
While AT&T sells data connections to car manufacturers — in some cases, to resell to drivers as part of OnStar and the like — AT&T is also targeting consumers directly with the promise of backseat entertainment and other benefits
While SIRI and LMCA did not partake the rest of the family enjoyed a solid day. Best yet to come.
good news for the Liberty family.
