The real action will start soon. The old master right in the center of it all. Place your bets. I have.
I remember when they faked the moon landing. Reminds me of how Malone manipulates this stock. Sure. I swear Santa and the Tooth Fairy are real. Right hand to god.
What do you think would happen to the price of SIRI if pilled off a deal with LYV or Yahoo or even Spotify? I'd say SIRI would bump 25-30%. VZ bought AOL. I think Spotify is making a BOLD and SMART move and SIRI is paying close attention. Flip that coin I'm on both sides.
I like the move. A little out of the box and just big enough to get peoples attention.
There's no way it's bad news for SIRI. Malone/Liberty will not be left out in the cold. It could effect the LBRDA spinout Malone gave us. It's all good either way.
Net income for Sirius increased 31% to $493 million. True to form, Malone takes as much free cash flow as he can find and uses it to repurchase stock — $2.5 billion worth in 2014.
Liberty Interactive is flush with $3.43 billion in cash, and has low-cost debt of $7.5 billion.
There’s no way to interpret these numbers other than to note that cash flow continues to roar through the Liberty machine, just as Malone intends. The stock price is still somehow only 90% of NAV. I will never understand why the market doesn’t reward Sirius.
I think you can buy either of these amazing companies and do quite well over the long term.
Maffei said Malone has put forth that idea. The simple fact is Liberty trades at a discount to it's NAV's and would be a good use of SIRI excess cash flow. Anything is possible with Malone. Flip that coin I'm on both sides.
The big boys are looking more and more at the connected car business.
AT&T is equipping cars with data connections for diagnostic, roadside assistance and entertainment systems.
Cars, meanwhile, contributed to more than half of the 1.2 million wireless service connections that AT&T added in the first quarter. These are primarily car manufacturers needing data connections for diagnostic systems and consumer-facing services such as OnStar navigation and roadside assistance.
AT&T has partnerships with eight car manufacturers, including General Motors, Ford and BMW, and expects to be the data-service provider for half of the new wireless-connected passenger vehicles this year.
While AT&T sells data connections to car manufacturers — in some cases, to resell to drivers as part of OnStar and the like — AT&T is also targeting consumers directly with the promise of backseat entertainment and other benefits
The only way that would happen is when P gets close to bankruptcy and Malone picks it up for pennies on the dollar
Your wasting time Driven. There's never any facts to back up there claims about Liberyty/Malone. Just hot air and BS. Here's a fact they never answer to
Since 2006 Liberty has a return on investment of 30% a year.
Some #$%$ that Malone guy is. LMAO
You think they would learn more about Liberty/Malone since they call the shots at SIRI.
Here is one you don't remember? Duran beats Iran Barkley for the 175lbs. Light Heavyweight title. Duran won his first title at 135lbs.
