Even a .02 to .04 every day added to TC's pps would be quite fine with me.
Little strokes felled big oaks.
An average of .02 a day alone would bring TC over 5.00 by years end,
which is a number most here would be glad to see at EOY.
Are "markets unstable !!!!!!!!!!"
are "markets very unstable !"?
I can't tell what you are trying to say.
BMY did do well today.
Now if only McCain doesn't start a nuclear war we may have time to cash in and spend it some day.
See...I can do that too. :)
NEWM, with yesterday's jump,
adds about 1.04 to NCT owners of record at "split time".
I was starting to think I should've sold when NEWM dropped to 12.
While hindsight is 20/20, boy I wish I would've bought more NEWM down there.
NRZ and NCT were both down considerably since the recent NCT spinoff, as well,
and they ALL came back nicely.
So far, so good. :)
I wish too.
I wish I would've added the other day at 16.50.
For some reason NMM does drop a significant amount between dividends.
Personally, I was waiting for the mid 15s, which doesn't now look likely.
Since my cost average is just over 16, I was hoping to lower it some %points,
not raise it.
Since the spo was in the mid 17s,
the 16.50 opportunity looks like the one I(we?) should've taken.
With dividends from a few other stocks coming between now and mid-April,
and since I'm not selling anytime soon anyway,
I hope to get another shot at 16.50 between now and the next dividend run.
This time I'll take it. :)
Plus: I am DRIPing my NMM dividends.
I really do not care if NMM ever rises appreciably higher as long as the .4425 keeps adding a decent amount of shares to my account each quarter.
On the other hand, if NMM decides to raise its shareholder's dividend,
I surely wouldn't mind paying a bit higher per share.
As we sit, I think I'll DRIP anything under 18.50 at the current .4425.
No, I've yet to read it
It's good it begins with a little doom and gloom,
especially since AGNC's pps is down over 36% from its all-time high.
Anything starting out any differently might seem like a snow job to funds and retailers,
and I'm glad they aren't in any sort of denial either.
The stock is however up 18.5% from the low,
and that's a good thing.
The maintenance of a .65 dividend,
or even an increase sometime this year,
imo, will bode well for the stock price going forward.
If the doom and gloom reflects bad guidance,
that would be a bad sign.
So Iguanaman, wassup?
Thanks for the reply.
Yes they did just buy back a bunch of shares,
and that buyback has proven to have been profitable for them, so far.
Will management just seed them back in slowly or will they wait until the price is right for a spo though.
I don't think ACAS would receive any fees for seeding them back,
but they WOULD get a hefty fee for a spo.
Is it necessary for MTGE to get rid of the re-purchased shares first, legally?
MTGE's last spo# was greatly larger than the amount of recently re-purchased shares,
so a spo of any substantial size could use those shares and add many more to the cap,
again, making parent ACAS money through fees.
That is one part of their ultimate business model, gaining their parent ACAS profits through fees paid at spo time while growing the company.
The hittin' 6 and 7$ parties will be much more fun,
that's for sure.
The "We're raising the dividend back to .25" party will be even funner(sic) than those.
SAME GUY with different names.
It's funny that he thinks he's so smart that no one would notice his "clever" ploy.
I hope this new factory pays its workers a living wage and healthcare benefits.
Maybe they will all buy a Tesla with their hard earned money.
1:30pm back to 5.01.
I guess we shall see, won't we?
A +5.00 close would be nice.
For it to hold 5.00+ for the foreseeable future would be even nicer.
