Look for a 3% bump tomorrow

Yes, I agree this company has a huge ramp in front of us and retail which has been beaten down is now coming back into favor. This adds to the tail winds of strong growth from both fill backs and new markets. Management team is only in the 2nd inning of their vision.Shorts are beginning to take their bets off the table. This stock can achieve $100 a share in three years in my opinion. The growth will really begin to gain more traction in new markets as their new distribution strategy falls into line at full efficiency . As the merchandising strategy continues to improve I would expect higher margins when they become more mature but that is far down the line but the benefit of product development can have a very positive impact on both sales and margin. They are entering Florida which will be a killer market.

Over time they can probably have over 400 stores in Texas and Florida which is roughly the size of the company today and will offset cold weather impacts as well. This chain has not even explored the far west region of the country yet either. This fellow investors is a stock to hold for sometime and tuck a few in an IRA as well. This will pay college tuition for children and grandchildren if you are patient for the investment world to catch up.

  • Investors are playing some defense. This is OK and may be even advisable but I would hold here as there is plenty to be happy about with the outlook for this company and the stock. The outlook for continued growth is excellent. The pipeline really gives us a good indication of the growth in front of us.

You make a good point. I have been thinking from the perspective of coming off the bottom but your estimate is no doubt more accurate than mine. Either way we have an excellent runway in front of us but there will be some resistance around 20 imo. No big deal if they keep placing new dots higher on a point to point basis. Which they have been doing with real consistency and the backlog continues to set record highs month after month. This was at one time a terrible position for me but now it is a real winner. And it is not over yet. Stay thirsty my friends.

The simple answer is cost reduction accelerates faster than revenue drop to off sett. If oil continues the drop no problem and it is still nice in this area. I took off my hedge today now straight long. The downgrade was late in coming and only shook out retail. Pros have been hedging using vertical call short and long spread.

Maybe too early for the big squeeze. Some shorts are covering but I think one or two more quarters may apply the choke hold on the shorts who can not believe how well the company is performing but the performance is undeniable.

This stock does not move up like an elevated pulse rate when good news is released. It seems to take time to absorb and then buying advances the shares. I believe this company can become a latent takeover target. They have improved their business model, execution and outlook. The market is toppy and stock pickers are placing their bets where the opportunity is still good for advancement. This is just a theory of mine and I could be wrong but it has been working out so far.If it were to be bought out the target would be around $25 and I would believe if a deal does get done it will be in the best low interest environment available rather than wait around for higher rates. In any case the fundamentals are still improving.

Could it be the shorts are beginning to reel in their positions ? Probably not as they can hold awhile longer and lose their entire profit position instead of just a huge piece of it. I am so wanting to read an update from the Kerrsdale Fabricators on Searching Alpha. Should be along any time now. Explaining some ridiculous and fallacious scenario on how we are set for a disaster here. Even their paid posters have disappeared. I should say the paid poster who posts under numerous ID's . The worm is turning and if longs just hold they will be richly rewarded as there is enough fresh buying going on to begin a nice little squeeze.

The economy which is far from robust in the first quarter , in fact, experienced negative growth. Five experienced growth of over 20% in revenues and beat the street expectations once again.. Now the economy while not robust is growing at a rate of 2.&%. While not robust far better than the first quarter negative growth of 0.7% . The minimum wage is growing on a voluntary basis in retail and fast food workers to be a positive to the economic outlook for companies such as Five Below. The management team has made a key transition from the Founders ' vision to a younger, well experienced CEO who has shored up the senior management team in key areas along with new board members that have developed large, fast growth companies. The added value in human resource management is vital to a company that is growing at such a fast rate. The team has the experience a strong vision and the focus to move the company forward in a robust manner. Anderson the CEO gave an excellent outlook and guided up for the remainder of 2015. Strong buy and a target of $50 is appropriate over the next 12 months.

If subscriptions rates were lower Barron's would earn less money. Therefore according to Barron's lower oil equals lower demand for the airlines and lower costs are bad. This is a strange investment scenario for sure. Value for AAL is 118 a share. I am buying not selling

  • This prayer will not be answered because the company has had a strong operating climate based on improvement and stronger operational disciplines and it is working. The outlook has shifted to growth again. New stores, remodels , and a joint venture agreement that will drive even more profitable growth. The short interest is low and most of it is a hedge at the level we are at around 4% . No big deal, no big squeeze just a couple of rookie crybabies will be chewed up. I went through this at FIVE and we have beat the shorts silly there. Talk about a short there was a 30% short interest even though the company grows around 30% a year. The only way the shorts win is on a market correction. Smart shorts make money. I do but I only short companies that are in trouble.

And that is why the earnings are growing year over year and no one who is a smart investor is shorting at this level and at this price with earnings report right around the corner.

  • He and bad dog breath have been losing money for quite awhile here but they still hang out . Low IQ for sure

  • The key here is the guidance. Anderson did not back off he laid out guidance for the year. Read the conference call notes. Very good looking future here.New stores are opening at a 100% ROI in less than one year. How good is that ? No wonder they can get so much done without long term debt which is zero. Great vision and very good execution. Note to Laertes, Bear meat is greasy but when it is free it tastes good.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • The company continues to improve the fundamentals and the value of the enterprise. I will not sell below 12 so long as the trends on operations continue to perform.
